Congratulations to our 225 new members |
The newsletter is back! Many things have gone on during the past few months, but many things have not. While the assessment drive helped revitalize the assessment department of the project, many other departments have received no attention. Most notably: peer review and our "workgroups". A day long IRC meeting has been planned for October 13th, with the major focus being which areas of the project are "dead", what should our goals be as a project, and how to "revive" the dead areas of our project. Contribute to the discussion on the the new channel (see below) We decided to deliver this newsletter to all project members this month but only those with their names down here will get it delivered in the future. This is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned or post news on the next issue's talk page
Lastly, a new WikiProject Biography channel has been set up on the freenode network: Our thanks to Phoenix 15 for setting it up.

Updating the historical template
Hi, seeing that you are the user that most recently made edits to the historical template On my sub-page (User:Cocoaguy/historical alt) i created a version using the ambox template, maby we could update the main one too. -- (Cocoaguy ここがいい contribstalk) 22:17, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that ambox is only for templates in the article namespace. There is not currently consensus to use it in any other namespace, so using it for {{historical}} is out for now. —Remember the dot (talk) 22:33, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for taking an interest in the article. While I am pretty sure that the article needs much improvement, I would like to have some help there. Could you point to specific peacock/weasel words and POV problems on the articles' talk page? I have some time on my hand to work on the article. Aditya(talk • contribs) 04:42, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- If you are referring to the words "radical" and "militant", I really don't know how else to describe the organization. The High Court in Bangladesh and all major Bangladeshi newspapers have described the organization as such. As for the American POV, all I can say is that almost all the sources used to write the article are of Bangladesh, where the organization operated. I am a bit at loss here. What to you think can be done to mitigate this situation? Aditya(talk • contribs) 14:26, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Preity Zinta FA
Hi there. The Preity Zinta article has recently achieved A-class status. Due to the wealth of support I have decided to now nominate for an FA class article which I believe and judging by the comments of others is pretty much up to.
