May 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm MelbourneStar. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Lady Gaga with this edit without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, —MelbourneStartalk 13:42, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Artpop (album). This includes making page moves while a discussion remains under way. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. The sequence of moves looks outright disruptive. Please seek assistance from other editors so that, if the article is ready for the main encyclopedia, it is moved to the proper title. —C.Fred (talk) 14:26, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

December 2013[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Lady Gaga. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. DMacks (talk) 20:21, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

March 2014[edit]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at ArtRave: The Artpop Ball, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 10:01, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. One of your recent contributions to ArtRave: The Artpop Ball has been reverted or removed, because it contains speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reference to a reliable source. Thank you. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 10:36, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
How many times you will have to be warned to make you understand not to add the Israel date? You are basically turning blind eye to the warnings above and failing to explain your edits in the talk page. You are adding speculative information continuously violating WP:CRYSTAL and edit warring over this. Consider this as your last warning, failure to do so would result in administrative action. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:36, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
While you did cite your addition and it wasn't exactly vandalism, it is WP:SYNTH as Gaga's site and Ticketmaster do not include it. You really do need to listen to IndianBio on this. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 15:56, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you disregarding messages from myself and IndianBio about WP:CRYSTAL and WP:SYNTH? If you keep this up, you'll have to be reported. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 16:29, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There may be a case for including the Israel date. However, the only way to get it included is to discuss the matter at Talk:ArtRave: The Artpop Ball and work toward a consensus about whether the tour date is suitably sourced.
If you were to keep inserting the date, that would be considered edit warring and dealt with as such. —C.Fred (talk) 17:10, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:LadyGagaArtRave.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:LadyGagaArtRave.jpg, which you've attributed to LadyGga.Wikia.com. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:52, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright[edit]

Just because a photo is from Lady Gaga's wikia doesn't mean it's free. No images taken after January 1, 1923 are free unless their source specifically indicates otherwise. I seem to recall a similar image being uploaded and quickly deleted. Not sure if that was you, but please don't do things like this again. I made the same sort of mistake in the past before admins Kww, DMacks, and J Milburn told me about copyright issues. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 14:30, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ANI notice[edit]

Orphaned non-free image File:LadyGagaArtRave.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:LadyGagaArtRave.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:04, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Uploading and adding images that are not for non-commercial reasons[edit]

Please do not continue to upload and use images that are non-free, such as what you did on the Lady Gaga article. As said in Wikipedia's image use policy, it must meet these requirements:

  • The image must have the image copyright tags.
  • The image must be specified of where it originally came from ("the source")

It must also fals under one of these categories:

  • Own work: You must own all the rights to the image, meaning that it is your own work
  • Freely licensed: The copyright holder of the image must have released it under an acceptable free license.
  • Fair use: You must assume that the image meets the important conditions for non-free content, which allows the use of unlicensed material with an explicit non-free use rationale explaining why and how you attempt to use it.
I hope that you read and understand these the next time you attempt to upload and use images. Thank you. IPadPerson (talk) 19:23, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Lady Gaga Grammy 2015.jpeg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Lady Gaga Grammy 2015.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 11:11, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon Your addition to Lady Gaga has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. Copyright Issues[edit]

It seems you have a serious problem with uploading copyrighted material; if you want to upload a photo, it needs to be available for reuse. Google has a function that allows you to search for these kinds of photos. All you have to do is search for any specific thing (take "Lady Gaga Oscars 2015", since you previously uploaded a similar photo incorrectly), click on "search tools", then click on "not filtered by license", and then scroll down and select "labeled for reuse". There are several photos available that are similar to the one you uploaded that are actually available for use if you want to upload those. If you're ever uncertain about a photo's availability, you need to contact the person/site you've found it on and ask whether or not it's available. Just trying to help! Make sure you avoid uploading images without knowing their copyright situation in the future because you can get into serious legal trouble otherwise. Reece Leonard (talk) 20:20, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing as how the most recent photo you uploaded was deleted due to a redundancy issue (there was a similar photo on the website) and that redundancy issue has been resolved (they deleted the similar photo), you should be fine to re-upload the recent one as it was available for use and there are no other identical photos already on this site. I'd check with an administrator on that first, however. Reece Leonard (talk) 18:48, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Lady Gaga 57 Grammy.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lady Gaga 57 Grammy.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 10:20, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Lady Gaga 57 Grammy.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to upload media files with false or lacking copyright and source information, as you did at File:Lady Gaga 57 Grammy.jpeg, you may be blocked from editing. Please make sure you have read and understood our image use policy before making any further uploads. If you have questions, ask at the copyright question page.
