I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

A tag has been placed on Recep Altepe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Updated DYK query On January 24, 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Exceptional Newcomer Award[edit]

The Exceptional Newcomer Award
You receive the Exceptional Newcomer Award for many well-referenced articles that you are adding to Wikipedia. Hassen Chalghoumi was the article that especially caught my eye. Regards, gidonb (talk) 12:14, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

İbrahim Bilgen[edit]

I created a page for İbrahim Bilgen, who is a renowned politician in Siirt, a founder of Virtue Party, candidate for MP and mayor in Siirt for Felicity Party, he even founded Siirt's first television channel. I have to say he failed in all elections, but do you think his article should be deleted since his career is unimportant other than he died in MV Marmara raid, by WPSINGLEVENT ?Kavas (talk) 12:57, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mersin University[edit]

Hi Minthumbug,

You have contributed to the article Mersin University on 6 Jan. 2009. I came accross the following sentence. The city has a number of research and sports facilities, situated in Mersin town centre and in other towns. I changed the word city to university. I hope that was what you really meant. If I am in error please revert it. Happy editting. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 13:16, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
