Possible copyright violation(s)[edit]

Your contributions are appreciated. You are very welcome here. But, I have encountered possible copyright violations:

  • Your addition to Wikipedia: [1]
  • Source: [2]

Some or all of the content appears to be copy pasted. Please remember that you must write in your own words. We cannot copy and paste from other websites.

If I have made an error, please accept my apologies.

For further information, please read Wikipedia:Copyright violations. If you have questions, please ask. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:17, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, a lot of what you've added to Hubli appears to have been copy pasted from various websites. Please go into the article and remove all of the copy pasted content. Thank you, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:20, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

More[edit]

Please do not restore that copy pasted content at Hubli. It is a copyright violation. Thank you, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:27, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Anna Frodesiak It is not a copyright violation if it is copied from public domain and if it is referenced properly, according to Wikipedia:Copyright violations, thank you,User:rggourav
At the bottom of http://www.hublionline.in/ it says "Copyright 2013-14 India Online Network "
At the bottom of http://www.hdbrts.co.in/salient-features it says "© 2013 Hubli-Dharwad BRTS Company Ltd. All rights reserved"
Those are copyrighted sites. Please tell me which sites have a creative commons license that you wish to source? Many thanks for your understanding.
Also, I'm guessing that you are Special:Contributions/101.222.237.127. Just out of curiousity, is this so?
Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:59, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Your edit as the IP here, here and here counts for sockpuppetry and is disruptive.  Abhishek  Talk 12:55, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry that is not me, whatever edits I do are from this account and I do not have any account. What would be the problem if it is referenced? 17:45, 23 May 2014‎ Rggourav
The reason I suspect the IPs are you is that one edit summary said "references are added" when restoring copyvio content. Above you wrote "...It is not a copyright violation if it is copied from public domain and if it is referenced properly..." and "...What would be the problem if it is referenced?..." In other words, both you and the IPs seem to think that copyvio content is okay so long as it is referenced.
Just to be clear, copyvio content cannot be added to an article even if it is referenced. Please read Wikipedia:Copyright violations again. But, it doesn't matter. If this persists, I will protect the article so that IPs cannot edit it. One way or the other, copyvio content will not remain at the article. I just hope the IP understands that restoring copyvio content will always be removed, and that the IP will cause the article to be locked out from good edits. It would be best to see no copyvio content, and the article accessible to everyone. Wouldn't you agree that is best? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:43, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The duck evidence is very clear that the IP is you. Your answer Sorry, that's not me is not convincing. So putting that together, you are not only violating copyrights, but also engaging in an edit war.  Abhishek  Talk 01:59, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

May 2014[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hubli. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.  Abhishek  Talk 01:56, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As stated above that ip is not me and after understanding the copyright violation I haven't made any edits, I will try to write the content in own words as soon as I get time, thank you. 08:30, 24 May 2014‎ Rggourav
Thank you kindly, my friend. Your understanding is very much appreciated. :) Happy editing. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:59, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

June 2015[edit]

Could you please provide the exact url for the required information on APMC website?Shreyas R Shreyas (talk) 04:56, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer for Mangalore: http://agmarknet.nic.in/profile/profile_online/displayformdetails.asp?mkt=744 and for Hubli: http://agmarknet.nic.in/profile/profile_online/displayformdetails.asp?mkt=116 Rggourav (talk) 09:25, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That was only about agriculture related activities. Btw, proving or disproving things like these are really difficult. Hope the page is fine as of now...... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shreyas R Shreyas (talkcontribs) 04:24, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Agri and Agri based business is used to gauge the business of the city (clearly mentioned in constitution of India), as of now only 30% of agri business in Hubli is carried out in APMC whereas 80% of agri business in Mangalore is carried out in APMC (As per CEDOK and KUM-2012 report). Now why Hubli-Dharwad is most important city after Bangalore? Ans: Most number of Government offices outside Bangalore, Statewide important organisations like KCCI, CEDOK, SWR , TTI are headquartered at Hubli-Dharwad, plus a High Court Permanent Bench, NWKRTC Headquarters, unrivaled agri business in the state apart from bangalore, top 5 cotton markets in India in terms of business and size. So it should clear your doubts about why Hubli-Dharwad is most important city after Bangalore. Thank You.Rggourav (talk) 07:17, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Let me come to each and every point quoted by you- "Agri and Agri based business is used to gauge the business of the city (clearly mentioned in constitution of India)"- It was the case in the early 20th century, when India was predominantly an agricultural counrty. But now, a city cannot be clearly judged on the basis of agricultural activities. "Most number of Government offices outside Bangalore"-Yes, Hubli can be called the second capital of Karnataka. "High Court Permanent Bench, NWKRTC Headquarters"-To provide representation to north Karnataka "unrivaled agri business in the state apart from bangalore, top 5 cotton markets in India in terms of business and size."-Only agri products and cotton sale is not a clear indiacator of a city. "Statewide important organisations like KCCI, CEDOK, SWR , TTI are headquartered at Hubli-Dharwad"- Mangalore has organizations such as Mangalore Robotaunics, Surfing FI, Panama Wind Energy, KIOCL, along with a host of nationalised banks.Shreyas R Shreyas (talk) 05:29, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hubli has 3 times more business in agri without including cotton than Mangalore. You can imagine the extent of business happening. I know you are trying to prove that Mangalore has higher business but there are no evidence to suggest it, off course its business is growing at a rate that is next only to Bangalore but in pure numbers Hubli-Dharwad is still ahead.

FYI: KIOCL is headquartered at Bangalore, Panama wind energy is pune based and Mangalore Robotronics is a startup company, if you are interested in startup companies you should check out Deshpande Foundation, CEDOK-Dharwad, Akshaya Patra etc. Hubli is a hub of startups. Checkout Sankalp Semiconductors its one of the worlds best semiconductor companies headquartered in Hubli.Rggourav (talk) 07:23, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Rggourav,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
