Nice anti-IE image/userbox[edit]

I made a similar image [1] one but I somehow shrunk the size of the globe. However, the slash and circle were made using Inkscape so mine look a lot crisper. I just drew it in Inkscape and print screened. I might still have the slash on my computer, but if not it's pretty easy to make and applying it to your image would combine the crispness of my slash with the resolution of your image. SteveSims 03:16, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and nice userboxes too. I made a similar one (same text, different coloring, IE7GlobeSlash.png) long ago but decided to change it to dislikes instead of hates to avoid accusations of supporting the cult of Mozilla/War on Microsoft when editing IE- and MS-related articles.

Thanks, all. In terms of the slash, i can copy it out of your image and put it in mine. I am actually away from home right now, so I will do this when I return. Also, I don't really edit Microsoft related articles, mainly to avoid damaging the neutrality of the article. I like the way you worded "a mostly better version of this"! License tagging for Image:GWB Jersey Turnpike split.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:GWB Jersey Turnpike split.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Winpe.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Winpe.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:21, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MSX PacMan.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MSX PacMan.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:20, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Windows XP Embedded[edit]

You've made a screenshot of it, can you tell me where you got it? Thanks CompuHacker (talk) 09:40, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the long delay. You can download an Evaluation from Microsoft at [2]. Hope that helps! (BTW, the screenshot was from the evaluation, which I was using for a project.)

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Daniel Lambert has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. File source problem with File:SMARTnbk.PNG[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:SMARTnbk.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. File:Avant userbox.PNG missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 09:15, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Jibbitz[edit]

The article Jibbitz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Sources refer to Crocs rather than Jibbitz thus making this effectively unsourced.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for January 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Harrison, New York, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page White Plains. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
