Recent edits to Edward J. Lakso[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your recent contributions. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit(s). In particular, a company or person should not be adding substantive content to their own page or a page where they have a conflict of interest unless they have also added reliable sources to confirm it, and it needs to be done in a non-advertisting/promotional manner to conform to Wikipedia's neutrality policy Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! DemocraticLuntz (talk) 13:06, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You will get more help at the help desk.[edit]

Go to WP:HELPDESK. Towards the top it has a big section saying "Click on here". Do that. Say you've been discussing this at [[User talk:DemocraticLuntz]] (copy that exactly) and ask people to read that first. There are more people with more time there. See my comments at the Help Desk. I will be reverting your edits to Edward J. Lakso because, as you admit, your edits broke the references. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:55, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Robert McClenon - what a mess! I've been using the internet since its inception and I've never seen such a confusing hash. I absolutely cannot find your message to me at the Help Desk. Believe me, I tried and failed. My throat is all tight and I just want to cry. I asked for help, but instead you've decided to erase my work that was in progress. I didn't "admit" to breaking the references. (What a way to phrase it! Makes me think I've been on trial but didn't know it.) Good grief, man...I asked for some help understanding how to make the references which, had you just given it to me in a simple format, I could have gone in and fixed everything to your satisfaction. Hey...I was a litigation secretary when everyone was still using DOS! Legal pleadings are an exercise in voluminous citations, so the theory isn't lost on me. Just your METHOD. I've also been using the internet since the very beginning OF the internet. I'm not unfamiliar with the basic premise. I just need some help with an example of the method. I am exhausted from all of this. I have to go take a nap...and have some tea with bread and butter. Perhaps i will try again some other day. I bet my father is rolling in his grave, poor man.
