Adoption[edit]

Greetings, I noticed you have an active request of adoption, plus another user left a note at a Talkpage asking someone replies to your request. I would be more than happy to offer you a place on my adoption progam. If you wish to accept this offer just state it below and if possible outline one our two thing you wish to achieve either during or after the adoption. John F. I moved the page you created into article space[edit]

Hi.

I noticed all your contributions have been applied to writing your first article: compliant bonding. Nice. I found the topic so interesting it inspired me to jump in and help.

I've been wikifying the article and working on its flow. I also moved it to article space, and placed a {{construction}} tag on it, to let others know that it is being actively worked on and not to delete it.

No big reason not to develop this in place, where other editors can find it to help work on it, and so readers get the benefit of being able to read it.

Any redlinked occurrences of "compliant bonding" in the encyclopedia will now be blue and will lead to this article. More links need to be placed leading to it though.

I've made my edit summaries rather detailed so you can easily see what I did and why.

I've moved most of the image code to the top of the page for now, and put them all on the right (temporarily), to make working on the text easier.

Here's some feedback: the main problem with the article was the awkward placement of the image wikicode right in the middle of prose. Usually it is best to place image code before paragraphs. The MediaWiki program automatically floats them into place at the sides of the page. Notice how the images automatically stack.

Another problem was the lack of headings. All Wikipedia articles rely on headings to break up the content into sections about subtopics. It's really easy, because the headings are usually the same as the subtopic names.

There are still some flow problems. That is, problems related to the order in which the material is presented.

The flow of the lead is fixed - I rearranged it so it now starts with the article's topic right at the very beginning.

Well, I thought you'd like a heads up. I'm off to work on it some more. The Transhumanist 23:35, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome[edit]

I appreciate your comment on my talk page.

I'm happy to help.

By the way, please watch to make sure I don't introduce any factual errors. I've made a lot of guesses as to what meaning you were trying to convey. Feel free to change whatever you need to to make the article make sense. The Transhumanist 00:04, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be back[edit]

The library I'm at is about to close, and I also need some sleep. But I'll be back to work on the article as soon as I can. Tomorrow at the latest.

In the meantime, keep in mind that nothing links to the article yet. (It is what we call an "orphan"). Not to worry, though, since many articles start out as orphans. This just means that you need to start thinking about where you can put links to it.

For example, what are the parent subjects of compliant bonding? Compliant bonding should be mentioned in their articles.

OK, I hope that helps.

I gotta go. But I'll be back. The Transhumanist 00:35, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: the construction notice at the top of the page will keep others from deleting it. They will see that it is developing quickly and that its other issues will be handled in due haste. –TT
