How to add English wikipedia article a link to point to marathi wikipedia article about same subject?

also what are the tools available on English wiki to point to same article on marathi language wiki?

You;ll need to take a look at the help information on interlanguage links for the complete instructions, but basically, you would normally do this at the bottom of the left sidebar on an article, using "Edit links" in the Languages section. Thanks Yunshui for quick help! while trying I am getting error as below please help

steps tried: At the bottom of the Wikidata language list, notated 'Languages', there is a link labelled 'Edit links'. Clicking on this will reveal a new page: scroll down to the box marked 'Wikipedia' and click on 'edit' at the top of that box click on the greyed-out 'wiki' field, the final item on the list, and enter a language code – for example, for Marathi use the code "mr" click on the greyed-out 'page' field (now visible) and type in the name of the article as it appears in that language's Wikipedia click on 'save' at the top of the box

Error faced: Could not save due to an error. The link mrwiki:केशवराव सोनवणे is already used by item Q25585468. You may remove it from Q25585468 if it does not belong there or merge the items if they are about the exact same topic.

Please help me resolve this error.

It would help if you provided links for context. I could gather from the error message that the Marathi article is mr:केशवराव सोनवणे; to find the English one was somewhat trickier.

The problem is that Wikidata, the database we use to link those articles, has items that are attached to Wikipedia articles in varions languages. A Wikipedia article can be attached to one item only, corresponding to that article's topic. If the English article and its Marathi equivalent have been attached to different items, those items may need to be merged. I have done so for you. Huon (talk) 22:52, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
