If you own a no-frost freezer, note how the fan is usually running but sometimes not. This 'sometimes' is while it's heating. Air temp in the food compartment should be within 1-2°C of target, also during defrosting, according to a mechanic from our freezer's manufacturer. This is corroborated by EU Directive 89/108/EEC which states -18°C must be maintained within a tolerance of 3°C. undo
