File source problem with File:Townergallerybuilding.jpeg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Townergallerybuilding.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:23, 23 June 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 08:23, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Cote D-Albatre-06 PB 900.jpg.jpeg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Cote D-Albatre-06 PB 900.jpg.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NW (Talk) 02:43, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Quicktime iconsm20090608.jpg.jpeg)

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Quicktime iconsm20090608.jpg.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 20:45, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting articles you wrote

Hi ProcEnforce,

I saw the articles you'd taken to AFD, on the grounds that you'd created ones with typos in their names. Although I think Ecomarche should be kept as a redirect to Ecomarché, as most English-speaking users don't have keyboards that can easily type accents, you can ask for the other, Écomarché to be deleted yourself - under our criteria for speedy deletion, if a page has only a single author, and they request it, a page can be deleted. Just add {{db-author}} to the page, and it should be deleted fairly quickly. If you've got any questions, please do get in touch, either here or on my talk page. All the best --Saalstin (talk) 18:27, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Nicholas Bevington requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Principality of Eastland, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Principality of Eastland. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Polargeo (talk) 11:31, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I didn't mean to - i'm trying my hardest to sort the problem out. Thanks, --ProcEnforce (talk) 11:36, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't delete my article - There are many other pages you have on similar micronations (Frestonia, Sealand, and even imaginary ones like Aerican Empire) Please take this into account. Many Thanks, --ProcEnforce (talk) 11:36, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sealand, for example, actually occupies an oil platform and has been regularly written about in news stories, books, etc. The idea isn't that you can just invent a country over dinner and put it on Wikipedia. You might check out WP:FIRST, WP:N, and WP:NFT to help you get started. Sorry your first editing experience here is you're getting all your stuff immediately tagged for deletion, it sucks but if we didn't police notability guidelines (among others) the place would be a mess. On the other hand, if you can point me to evidence in a reliable source that your country is notable, that would be a different matter!  Glenfarclas  (talk) 12:00, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Flag of Eastland.pdf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip [i.e. a Word document or PDF file] that has no encyclopedic use.
