Non-free images
Please note that non-free images cannot be used outside the article namespace. In particular, they may not be added to portals or templates. You may want to take a moment to read Wikipedia:Non-free content if you have not yet done so, as Wikipedia's policy is stricter than fair use in many regards. RE:Warhawk

See my talk page Mawfive

PS3/Motorstorm

Hey! I noticed you were looking to get these two pages up to featured article status! I would like to help with both. But Motorstorm looks like the most needs doing, so I'd be happy to help with that first! I was just contacting you, as I thought you may have some plans for what you wanted doing to the page. So basically, do you have any specific things you want me to try and do to the page (i.e. a to do list) or shall I just go about editing, citing etc. the best I can? Thanks, Asics talk Editor review! 22:23, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warhawk again

Yes, I will get the game. The beta was so fun, and it ended right when I started to dominate in it! Mawfive 04:46, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Focus of WikiProject PlayStation

Hello, you may or may not already be aware of this, but a discussion regarding the focus of PlayStation Project has begun on the Project's talk page. Your input would be appreciated in the discussion, seeing as you're a co-founder of the project. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ajmorre.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ajmorre.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Alaibot and A.J. Moore Academy

It's been adding it because it doesn't have a category (and you've been removing the "uncat" tag, which would otherwise cause it to be skipped by the bot on subsequent runs). If you use the syntax :Category:Plants, that just adds a link to the category page, it doesn't add the article to that category. You want to use the syntax, which does do so. (Though ideally, one would try to find a more appropriate category than the one you added the link to...) Hope that helps. Alai 16:41, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Techk9.com logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Techk9.com logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Techk9.com logo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Techk9.com logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:59, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warhawk

Is it true that you can play a four player match using split screen so me and my friends will just be able to battle each other and not 28 other people?Sam ov the blue sand, Editor Review 23:24, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cool cause me and my friends realy need a game that all four of us can play cause Halo 2 is getting real old.Sam ov the blue sand, Editor Review 00:10, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stub types

Sorry, I've seen an Xbox before but I did my best to repress it (it was very traumatic). The image you wish to use is TOO BIG for a stub template, it would cause an unnecessary strain on servers and take a long time to DL (on an otherwise tiny article, a stub after all). This would be a big deal to people like me, that often read Wikipedia on their phones. I do like the pic though, perhaps a smaller version could be uploaded specifically for use in the stub type? I left a request for Shadowfyre to make new icons, but I don't know if Shadowfyre is actually doing it. CVG stubs generally have icons around 32px, and anything bigger would run the risk of removal in favor of the generic SNES controller icon WP:VG is so fond of. But if a better icon can be found that is reasonably small and looks good at 32px, by all means change it. ~ JohnnyMrNinja 06:06, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warhawk

I got it and it's sweet! Even the 2 on 2 matches are fun. My friends laughed when my friend fired a missle at me and I rolled right over him and lit him up! I've only played 6 online matches because my online isn't up yet so I went to my friends house me and my friends played 4 player split screen and we won two 32 player games, 2, two 16 player games, and as a four man team we won two 4 on 4 matches. We rocked! When are you getting it?Sam ov the blue sand, Editor Review 22:48, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Warhawk (disambiguation), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Warhawk. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 14:26, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blu-ray

Hi, sorry I wasn't able to reply earlier(I was in Chicago for a couple of days). Anyway, about the Blu-ray WikiProject, If you do want to start it, then by all means go on, but I don't think the WikiProject can survive as of now, because the Blu-ray format hasn't been established as the main HD disc. By the way, I also think the project might be too broad covering Blu-ray companies, etc, you should stick with Blu-ray-related articles and Blu-ray movies. --EfferAKS 20:48, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Look under Initial setup in Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide/WikiProject and the WikiProject Council pages should be able to help answer your questions. If you have any other question please don't hesitate to ask me, as I'm a member of the WikiProject Council. Good Luck! --EfferAKS 23:58, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk PS3

Hi, I'm also part of the playstation project, I noticed that you co-created it so I thought I'd ask you, but I didn't know where to post my question's. The talk page on playstation 3 will be quite long very soon and the playstation 2's talk page is already pretty long, so is this something that would fall into our project or should I leave it as is? Also I'm redoing Linux for PlayStation 3 should I put the on the discussion page or the actual artical? Thanks -- Vdub49 01:20, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BD/HD DVD Company Support

Hi!

Just want to make a suggestion to create a new article about the company support to BD and HD DVD (In Japanese article, it is located in the comparison article). I have compiled a list, translating it directly from Japanese equivalent article, with added information. As the founder of the format, I think you are the appropriate person to ask suggestion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Comparison_of_high_definition_optical_disc_formats#Japanese_wikipedia_article

"Editors for deletion"

Hi. I expect you realize, but wanted to make 100% sure you do, that "editors for deletion" is just a play page. No one is really suggesting there that anyone be forced to leave, and in fact the discussion there about Miranda was started by herself. Regards, Newyorkbrad 09:48, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation

Yes, I invited 2 users. One of them is unexperienced with wiki, but want to join. he does not stay in wiki a lot. He is a member of blu-ray.com forum (WriteSimply). That would be a great idea if you can do that as well to obvious blu-ray fans. I am currently abstaining (leave temporarily) from wiki, due to busy, but I will still make minor edit that does not requires reference, etc, and I will still reply messages.--w_tanoto 18:43, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warhawk side articles

Hey thanks for getting back to me with that message. By side articles do you mean:

If so then I don't mind if they are deleted, even though I did a lot of work concerning the first one. Wikipedia is obviously not a game guide and I don't think it will be allowed. But merging into the article is a very good idea. I'm not so sure on how to add hiding templates though. Maybe someone like yourself could do it? Or could you direct me to a page that shows how to? Non-free use disputed for Image:Warhawkservers.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Warhawkservers.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 22:06, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
