Decline to block
You have just declined to block user 208.217.164.134, because user "hasn't edited in 4 hours". I understand where you are coming from on that point, but the fact is this person has vandalized the same article by deleting the same referenced fact 6 times. When is enough enough? The user was recently blocked for 48hrs, and yet there they were today, making the SAME edit. -Fall Of Darkness (talk) 03:23, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

I have a question
How did you put that your an american citizen on your profile? And how did you put the male sign on your profile to? Just in case to let you know I am an american citizen, it didnt want you to worry that you would tell the wrong person. Faln angel82 (talk) 15:04, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- Those nifty things are called userboxes. In particular the two you are asking about can be added to your userpage by using the codes: {{User American}} and {{User:UBX/male}}. xenocidic (talk) 15:10, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Adopt me! Adopt me!
Hey Useight, I found you on the "adopters looking for adoptees list". I've registered my account only recently. I have one previous adopter but I think he's kinda busy right now. What do you say? I picked you because you are an admin and you seem like a young guy who knows his way around. —Picardin (talk) 01:54, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

- Useight, I've just added an adopter box for you on my page! Ok, first thing I want to change, but I don't know how to, is the default wiki search result for the string "fuego en la sangre". It should take the user to Fuego En La Sangre, not to Fuego en la sangre!!! If you don't believe me, just try a Google search for "fuego en la sangre" and see what the very first result is! The mexican soap opera is just soooo popular right now, you wouldn't believe it. The argetine film, on the other hand, is a pretty obscure reference (again, just look at Google results). Wikipedia should return a page that is relevant to the user, and I bet 99% of people searching for the string want the mexican soap page. —Picardin (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 00:50, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Content dispute at Kanto (Pokémon)
Hi, another editor and I are having a dispute at the article Kanto (Pokémon) about whether or not this should be added to the article. Basically, the other editor wants to add information about a truck that appeared once in the game, while I believe this is entirely nonnotable and does not warrant inclusion in the article. We are trying to reach consensus on Talk:Kanto (Pokémon)#S.S. Anne Port Easter Egg and User talk:Artichoker#I never said it did held one, i said that was the old rumor. Whenever I try to revert back to the original version while we are discussing the matter, the other editor reverts back. What are your thoughts on this matter? Thanks. Artichoker[talk] 20:30, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- My reply here
- I would just like to point out that this (the last two paragraphs that were added in the revision) is also part of the content dispute, so should that be commented as well? Also, thank you for sorting this out. Now I shall wait for Yami's reply, and we can hopefully begin some meaningful discussion. Artichoker[talk] 21:12, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

I would like to note that User talk:JeremyMcCracken found nothing wrong with my info, he even fixed the image i added, and stated that Artichoker seemed to be the only one against my information. I would also like to note that JeremyMcCracken being a third option editor or what ever the title should show that if there really was a problem with the info, how i added it, or the references or citation then he would have fixed it. It should also be noted that the truck appears in 4-5 games ( i still not 100% sure on yellow) and does not just appear once.Yami (talk) 22:32, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- The fact that only one person is against your information is not a valid argument. Like I have said before, we do not vote on Wikipedia (although for the record, there is more than one person that disagrees with you.) And the fact that one editor found nothing wrong with your information does not mean that it should be included. Artichoker[talk] 22:47, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
I only know two people agaisnt me and Jeremy is with me from what I saw. now lets not argue on this tlak page, we'll let Useigh decide the issueYami (talk) 23:09, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
I want to set the record on this matter straight right here. this started because Artichoke thinks he has the right to deem my contribution as non notable and kept saying it was speculation and repeatedly removed my contribution.
He/she is trying to act like the police on the Kanto (pokemon) article and I feel he made personal attacks against me as his edit summaries will show. This is not about rather the truck exist this is about him not thinking something i added to the article is notable.
My contributions shouldn't be taken down just because he doesn't want to try and help improve my contributions by fixing any errors. Why should the article have to suffer because Artichoke believes he/she has the right to say my contribution is speculation or non notable. I followed wikipedia's rules on referencing and citing my edit, and i made sure to provide enough places with Visual evidence of both video and image media. Who is to say rather the sites i refrence are creditable, the picture should be enough to show that the truck exist and who is to say that my Contributions both the truck and phantom PC doesn't belong Yami (talk) 01:56, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

The Edit Summaries in the history of the article Kanto (Pokémon)
He also just kept coming back and undoing anything i did to the article and called it speculation and non notable despite me giving sources and all that, he keeps trying to twist my words and has continued to ridicule me. I have read the article on referencing and all that and followed all the protocols on citing a source Yami (talk) 03:51, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Now its just borderline harasment
This is getting out of hand, mist places would call this a flame war not a edit war or dispute. The Hybrid is bias and tried to act like a mediator but has proven he is not someone who should be a mediator to anyside. He also seems to be trying to do his best to ridicule me and is not adding constructively to the discussion Yami (talk) 05:10, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Its now turned to full blown harassment read below

Compromise
If text on the truck isn't notable then can we at least keep the picture in the article with a caption about the port/dock and the truck maybe?

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_FireRed_and_LeafGreen_Versions
Nice little bit of trivia at the bottom that shows the truck and the programmers seem to have paid homage to the old mew claims with a new item in place of a mew. Yami (talk) 04:48, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- My reply here
- (In response to the above section) So, because you said I'm useless as a mediator, that makes me useless? Hmm, so, you're God then? Your logic perplexes me. You, who cite no policies to back you up, are the unbiased one, while Artichoker, TheChrisD and I, who do cite policies, are the biased ones. It isn't about who is biased and who isn't; it is about who is right and who is wrong. Our arguments have substance, and yours do not. It is as simple as that. We cite Wikipedia's policies, and you keep repeating the arguments that we have refuted.
- Now, Useight has just said that the sources he listed are not reliable, yet you seem to have taken the impression that they are. This means one of two things: you don't read over our comments completely, or you fail to understand them. Which one is irrelevant. There are no reliable sources for the information. Useight just proved this. Rather than try to force me to action, why don't you walk the walk. Look for sources yourself, rather than trying to make me. I'm not going to waste my time trying to verify information that is irrelevant, even if notable. And for the record, Missigno is mentioned in another article because it has reliable third party sources discussing it. This thing does not, once again, as Useight just demonstrated.
- Now, what would motivate us to compromise? A picture without relevant text is useless, and it certainly does not <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Lupin/navpop.css&action=raw&ctype=text/css&dontcountme=s">improve the article. None of what you propose would improve the article, as it is just trivia, not important information that necessitates documentation. If it were anything more than trivia, it would be listed in reliable thrid party sources. The Hybrid 04:59, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
I said you were bias and this is just bordering on harassment now. Also if i made it into bulbapedia it must be notable. it also late here and yes he said the are not considered reliable but that doesn't mean they aren't reliable. Yami (talk) 05:04, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Bulbapedia is a niche Wiki; it's standards for notability are far lower than Wikipedia's. Also, they fail WP:RS, which indeed does mean that they are not reliable. Now, if I'm harassing you, then report me. Maybe I'll get blocked, or be banned from participating in this discussion. Let someone unbiased judge my actions. I think you'll see that what I'm doing is participating in a dispute to defend Wikipedia's policies, while you are misinterpreting my and everyone else's actions. The Hybrid 05:09, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Keeping the Image
Actually, I don't have a problem with keeping the image in the article. It's a fairly long article that has a lot of text and few images. You might be able to get away with saying the image improves the article if the caption is something neutral, such as "A screenshot of Vermilion City" or something. Useight (talk) 05:25, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Can I just add them to the article or do i have to get consensus so another dispute doesn't happen? Yami (talk) 05:58, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
I was thinking of adding both and maybe use some humor with them Yami (talk) 06:03, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- You would need consensus to add these images to the article. They way I see it, they are just more non-free images that add nothing useful to the article. And since they are non-free they shouldn't just be added for any old reason. Also, there should never be humor on an article. Artichoker[talk] 13:39, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
That was just the tag i used because i couldn't find the fair use tag late at night and i was not asking you i was asking him, please stay out of it Yami (talk) 15:59, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
I'd also like to point out that all the screenshots have non-free for their tags on this list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags/All#Screenshots Yami (talk) 16:03, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
What do you think of it? I stumbled across it, and discovered that it was full of trash. I cleaned it up, but do you think it merits inclusion? I can't really find much about it on the Internet, unless it's in another language. thanks Enigma message 18:10, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Another content dispute at Kanto (Pokémon)
Hi, talk has drifted from adding information of the truck onto the pictures of the truck. Yami has added the pictures to the article without establishing consensus twice already. The fact is that they are non-free images and violate WP:FUC. Discussion is (sort of) still going on at Talk:Kanto (Pokémon)#Compromise. Although by this point Yami's arguments are deteriorating into the same things that he has already stated multiple times. What are your thoughts on this matter. And I really do appreciate the time you have put in to mediate this. Thank you. Artichoker[talk] 21:13, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- My reply here
I would like to state that i have to repeat myself because everyone is getting lost because the talk page is so long. Also every one seems to want to flip flop on what should be allowed on there and still depite my finding a creditable source i am todl i still can't put the info on there. Yami (talk) 17:27, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
one more thing, where is your opinion on the images because the talk page is a big maze of words Yami (talk) 17:28, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- My reply here
I think he's more or less trying to use wikipolicies in his favor, and all the images on there are not free.Yami (talk) 18:40, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- My reply here
Artichoker keeps saying that the text or at least how i want to write it helps convey the truck's notablity, but then argues that because the truck ins't mentioned the images shouldn't be added, but if how i want to write the text doesn't convey the information then an image would perfect for conveying information that could not otherwise be conveyed via text.
He is now resorting to arguing that it shouldn't be added because my writing style is that of a magazine. I don't think Artichoker has the article or anything else best interest in mind and only wants to cause trouble for me.
Everytime i think i'm getting somewhere with him he makes up another excuse Yami (talk) 19:57, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Your question regarding Mewtwo
As to your question about Mewtwo on Yami Takashi's userpage; after years of horrific gene-splicing, scientists actually created a clone of Mew, known as Mewtwo. If you are interested in this story, go see Pokémon: The First Movie, the only decent Pokémon movie. Also, I thought I would just let you know that only a Game Boy Advance is needed in order to play Pokémon LeafGreen. A DS will work as well though. Artichoker[talk] 19:27, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

FYI
Hello, and thank you for the notice. I do have some questions about WP:ANI, as I have never gone through this process before. So will there be a lengthy discussion about my behavior in which I will need to comment, or will an administrator just evaluate the situation and choose how to resolve it? Could there be any actions taken against me? Could there be any actions taken against the accuser (Yami)? I do not believe I have done anything wrong; one good-standing editor even thought I was cool-headed enough to deserve a barnstar.
I thank you once again for putting up with me and doing your best to answer my somewhat noobish questions. Thanks. Artichoker[talk] 01:29, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- My reply here
- Thank you for answering my questions. However, it appears that now the page may be escalating into another edit war. As Yami continues to add back the controversial information without enough sourcing. I have stopped reverting for the time being, but is there any way to settle this matter once and for all, as he continues to ignore the proposals I bring up and just re-adds the information to the article without establishing consensus. Thanks. Artichoker[talk] 02:55, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
I've gone through alot of trouble to try and please Artichoker and every time i think I'm getting somewhere he makes up another excuse to why i can't put the info on there. 1 reference would have been more then enough if he didn't take my words out of context and make me go through hell and creation to get a few words on the article. And he didn't stop undoing my contributions and i had two references like he has asked before. He's trying to force a actual number of references and citations i need to get this info on there.
He also still keeps sayign i'm violating the policies with an image but the image went with the article, there are no in game images on the article, and the image shows people the harbor and the article did talk about the harbor until he removed it yet again. Yami (talk) 03:06, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Dispute resolved
Hey, the dispute has finally ended. Yami found another reliable source, so it should be OK for the information to be added. You can go ahead and lift the full protection from the article when you get a chance. There shouldn't be anymore edit wars. Useight, as always, it's been a pleasure to work with you. things are still shaky because artichoker added the info back, but i tried to rephrase it and add more info because he wrote it too dry. I'm not going get into another dispute, i just think talking about the area more like a real dock and still mentioning the item in the area, but not explicitly saying what the item is would make it less dry sounding with the way he wrote it. I mean when i first wrote it, it had more body because i mentioned the rumor with the truck, but just saying there is a pickup truck with no back or side story is too dry and not what i had in mind for the article. I wanted at least to mention the area, what is in the area and/or the rumors built on the area. Yami (talk) 17:40, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Rollback
Ohai Useight. I've never talked to you for a while. I was wondering if I were to ask you for rollback right now, looking through my contributions, would you accept giving me rollback? Don't worry, I'm not asking. I recently declined an offer myself. I'm just asking if you would feel comfortable in giving me rollback if I asked. Thanks, RyRy5 (talk) 07:57, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

- A developer blocked status bot because it was making a disgustingly high amount of edits on a daily basis and actually having an impact on bandwidth. Wisdom89 (T / C) 19:47, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

- Now that Qui is compatible with IE, and of course there's still the Hersfold workaround, we should consider requiring (or strongly encouraging) Highly Active Users to keep their status updated with one of these systems. –xenocidic (talk) 23:37, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

- Yes, I think Cobi did something to it, and when I looked a week or two ago at it, my brain exploded. So we'll have to ask him to sort it out =). –xenocidic (talk) 14:21, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

A Question
What are examples of major edits?--Tyw7, formerly Troop350 (talk) 17:03, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry to jump in here before you Useight, but I just saw this and felt like answering : ) Usually spelling changes, grammatically fixes, tense changes, removal of small syntax etc..etc.. are considered minor. Wisdom89 (T / C) 19:45, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

- I have to say that the blatant canvassing did make me laugh :) As someone else noted, I admire that he had the balls :P But it obviously wasn't going to happen and I don't really see the point in prolonging the bloodbath (regardless of his own preference, maybe I'm just mean, IDK). Hello. I was wondering if I should close the above article. Btw, my new user name is User:RyRy. I didn't want the "5" attached anymore. -- RyRy (talk) 03:11, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

- So that's a yes, I can close it as a "keep", right? Oh, and you added "a link to your reply" on my talk page, assuming you meant to put it here. -- RyRy (talk) 04:26, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

- Done. And yeah, I also like "RyRy" better. It's kind of funny when saying "Ry-Ry-five". Sometimes it sounds like a rhyming poem. :P I decided to detach it. Although, my edits in the old account is taking a while to move to my new one. I heard it can even take a year. RyanPoss still has one edit that hasn't been moved yet and it's been over a year. -- RyRy (talk) 04:43, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

- Yeah, I suppose so. Only about 2000 edits have been moved so far, and there's more than 12,000 to go. I just hope it doesn't take a year. Hehe. And I know your watch listing the bureaucrats noticeboard, you would like to be a bureaucrat right? :P Anyways, I've replied to your message on Talk:Pikachu. I have that watch listed. -- RyRy (talk) 04:59, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

- I don't think you have to wait a year as an admin for you to pass. It's mostly based on experience and trust. But waiting a year would be safer. I've replied to Talk:Pikachu. -- RyRy (talk) 05:19, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- I've replied. Oh, and I decided to clean-up the article Winx Club: Mission Enchantix since I saw it here when I was new page patrolling. Since you know a lot about video games in general, you could probably expand it further. Just wanted to let you know. -- RyRy (talk) 06:15, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- By the way, I was offered rollback again and you were mentioned. Just wanted to let you know. I'm basically 249/250 in reverting which is about a 99.750%. I still don't want rollback though. -- RyRy (talk) 05:23, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- And you may want to take a look at this. -- RyRy (talk) 05:26, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

And that's exactly why..
...I'm contemplating never running for RfA again. It's obvious that there are more than a handful of users who do not like certain opposition stances at RfA. I find it extremely unfair to the candidate to use past RfA positions (unless you were being downright incivil, bitey or pointy) to judge whether someone has the experience, clue, know-how, temperament or trust to wield the buttons. - Thanks for the compliments Useight. I expect nothing less from you. Sorry if I sounded like a dramatist in my previous post, but honestly if people are going to have their opposes held against them as with this current RfA and this unforgettable stressful occurrence : ), then I can't help but feel jaded. Remember though, I said "contemplating" : ) Wisdom89 (T / C) 00:07, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Qui and Internet Explorer
I read you comment on Xenocidic's talkpage, and I would like to inform you that I worked on this problem today and that Qui should now work on IE as well. It doesn't look as pretty as on the other browsers, but it should work just fine. --TheDJ (talk • contribs) 22:40, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
