The first season of El Gran Show (dedicated to dance) was aired on 15 April 2010 and count with polemics famous, the show is actually one of the favorites of the auddience

Concept

The first season of the Peruvian reality show “El Gran Show” is dedicated only to dance. Eleven couples conformed by a celebrity and an amateur dancer called “Dreamer” should dance every week a same rhythm. At the end of the show, Gisela will reveal who are the winner couple of the week and the bottom two couples with the lowest scores who should go to judgment.

Judgment

The bottom two couples are automatically in risk for being eliminated. The audience has all the week (Saturday to Saturday) to vote for his favourite couple. The sentenced couples must induce people to vote for them. In Saturday the bottom two couples are sended to Duel.

Duel

The bottom two couples must dance a different rhythm of all the non-sentenced couples with professional dancers. While the show is airing, the represented cities of the couples are connected to the show in live, to illustrate the support of the family and sometimes of the Major. At the end of the show, before the Judgment, Gisela reveal the percentages of the two couples, the couple with less percentage is eliminated and their score is void.

Faith Balls

The mechanic of the “Faith Balls” was introduced in the sixth gala, but was also used in the second season of “El Show de Los Sueños”. Before Gisela reveal the percentages of the bottom two couples, bring a big glass cup with eight secret balls inside. Six balls have the El Gran Show’s logo and two have an “X”. The both couples choose one and decide to keep only a ball. If the choosed ball has the El Gran Show’s logo, Gisela cancels the percentage and the two couples are automatically safe. But if they choose the “X”, Gisela must read the results and one couple is eliminated.

• Week 4: The couples were separed in two teams: Man heros sholud dance Salsa in Trio and heroines should dance Pop unther the rain. They shuld be one couple of each team to judgement. There was an empty in the Men team (Roberto & Katia with Jesús & Cindy) but the judges should choose one for Judgement. There was also an empty in the Women team (Gisela & Rayder, Vanessa & Kenny with Adriana & Renzo) and the judges should choose one for Judgement.

Groupal Dances

In some weeks, the couples are dived in two teams to performe a groupla dance. The judges will choose the winner team, and all their members win two additional points from their original score.

Dance Marathon

The Dance Marathon, called Bailetón (big dance) in the show, is a duel were all the couples dance a same song and rhythm. Judges and the special guest choose with their votes to the winner, who will win two extra points to his original score.
