Deleting my biography

I was asked by someone to create a wikipedia page about my life and how I started my music from school. I feel it was serve significant purpose by giving people a better look at my life and where I come from, I just made article today and was still editing it. I have products of my work and other references that I was going to include in it before it got deleted a minute ago. Concerning Issues of Abuse

Gogo Dodo , I noticed as a senior editor you recently edit on the alcoholics anonymous webpage I would like to report an issue of abuse. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Alcoholics_Anonymous&action=history

First and foremost I posted information from a very credible and reliable source Bankole Johnson this was disputed by two people in questions, understandbly why, not everyone would like what he had to say. However the source used to counter Mr. Johnsonm has severe crediblity issues. Myself and a number of editors have reversed the deletes, but what is worse, I and a relatively new member user have been referred to as sock puppets. I do not have a sock puppet nor am I one. I find this type of behavior intimidating and abusive. I have posted a rebuttal on the discussion page, including information concerning the unreliabilty and bias of the source used to counter Johnson. It is at the bottom of page.

The Playback singer problem is here again...

From what I see, someone already started it on Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dr.Mukesh111. But the problem still stands (Again and again23 (talk · contribs)). I suspect you didn't mean to use that bad pun that made me wince. The undeletion is fine. I see that WP:MILPEOPLE has any flag or general officer, so I restored General Walter Miller copied by the same editor and moved it to Walter Lee Miller, Jr.. non-free image on dubstep

hello again gogo, hope you are well! i could use your help with something - User:Novemus has added an image to the article which i have reverted, because it added nothing to the article - now, the problem is that he's uploaded it under GFDL, but this is emphatically not his own work. it's been doing the rounds as a cover for audio-only youtube vids amongst other things since 2005ish. i'm not that well up on the process for disputed licensing, so perhaps you could assist me with nominating for deletion. i think it's also on commons, btw. Jasta 14 (band)

It was at best a (junior?) high school garage band. Jasta had left after a mere two years to start Hatebreed. I mean, I could see including it in the Jasta article, but as it stands the band is wholly unnotable. Can you please explain why you removed the delete tag? Yes, but on the next recreation of the article. I try to give new editors a little leeway just in case they didn't notice the deletion notice I left them between edits. The Deletion of Matthew S. Wilson

First off let it be noted that I respect your decision. I understand that you must deal with a lot of Spam here at Wikipedia, Kids trying to promote themselves, teens trying to promote their bands. All sorts of things I'm sure. However, I feel as though my Matthew S. Wilson page was deleted without just cause. I think the page was deleted mainly because you, haven't heard of Matthew S. Wilson, which does not mean he isn't important enough to be featured on Wikipedia's website. I've followed Matthew almost since the release of his first mixtape, and I know that he is worthy enough simply by his record breaking number of downloads of his mixtape on Datpiff. I completely understand that there's a policy for deleting articles, but I think that some should be a little more forgiving, or actually take the time to realize that you don't know everything, about everything. And that because something looks shady, or not up to par, that it isn't irrelevant, or not worthy, and give the creator fair warning that it isn't up to par, and give them a chance to fix it. The article I created for Matthew S. Wilson is completely relevant, and of importance, but it was marked for speedy deletion within 5 minutes, and then deleted completely within 30 minutes. I did not make a mistake at that time back in 2007 because most of the points you brought up were not available back in 2007 as they had not happened yet. For #1, all of the references except for the Wilmington Star article was published after 2007, so could not have been used back then. For #6, the Kooley High article did not exist in 2007 (it was created in 2009) and there was no mention of any connection to Kooley High in the article as it was in 2007 (and even if there was, since the article on Kooley High did not exist, it would have not established their notability since there would have been no context). For #9, the contest happened in 2008, so was not known in 2007. For #12, the same thing applies: the television show happened in 2008 and the article was deleted in 2007.

So, back in 2007, the deletion was correct. The band did not meet the notability guidelines from the things that had happened up to 2007. Lots can change in three years and this happens to be one of the "up-and-coming" (per the deleted article in 2007) that really did make it. So as of today in 2010, the band is probably notable for the reasons you indicted. What you can do is create an account and write a fresh article with the references you provided or, if you do not want to create an account, you can use the article wizard to request one to be made for you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:04, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
