Career

Television (2003–2013)

Naqvi began his career in television dramas, telefilms and soaps. He has recently stepped into the Indian film industry Bollywood[3] for his role in an Indian movie.[4]

Film (2013–present)

Naqvi turned down three Bollywood films, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish,[5] Mohit Suri's Aashiqui 2 and Anthony D'Souza's Boss because it conflicted with the shooting schedule for his Pakistani projects.[6][7]

In 2013, Abbas made his film debut in the romantic drama Anjuman, (a remake of the 1966 film of the same name), with Sara Loren. Abbas portrayed Asif (played by Waheed Murad in the original film), who fell in love with a courtesan Anjuman and gives birth to new rivalry.

As of February 2014, Abbas has several projects in various stages of production. He has completed filming for his first international project, a Bollywood film Vikram Bhatt's Creature 3D alongside Bipasha Basu. He is simultaneously filming for his next two Bollywood films Funalu and Raqs.
