ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Proton-pump inhibitor

You were right. Per WP:MEDRS, I shouldn't have replaced the secondary source with a primary source on Proton-pump inhibitor. I have since restored the primary source alongside the preexisting secondary source. The sentence presents the information as "one suggested mechanism", so it would be useful to include where the suggestion comes from with a secondary source as evaluation. The only thing I listen to is logic, i.e. logical reasoning as to why the changes were valid, and I failed to see any in that discussion. It is the one thing I wanted. The discussion was pathetic, and so are you for blocking me. Furthermore, if you and the other admins don't understand that Jytdog has a strong bias against alternative medicine, even when MEDRS compliant sources are used, then the problem is with you and the admins. --Hyperforin (talk) 20:57, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

I couldn't care less what Jytdog's biases are or aren't; this is a topic in which I have absolutely no interest. The point you're failing to understand is that it doesn't matter who's right and who's wrong; this is a collaborative project and if you're not willing to engage in discussion with other editors without ranting and abuse, you are not wanted here. ‑ Iridescent 21:29, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

There already was a discussion at Talk:Performance-enhancing_substance#.22Adaptogen.22_content. The changes were proposed and all feedback had been attentively addressed. So you are saying that if someone disagrees with you and you respond, and you feel that your response adequately addressed their concerns, then their disagreement no longer counts? Because that doesn't look like a discussion -- it looks like everyone disagreeing with you. If consensus is clearly against your proposed edits, then you are not allowed implement them, even if you feel that the users who disagree with you are wrong. You need to present evidence and convince more people that everyone who has already objected is wrong. Hijiri 88 (聖やや) 06:45, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

Hijiri 88, I may have emotionally overreacted against you previously. Having said that, only the guilty ask for mercy, and I don't consider myself guilty, which is why I don't want anyone's mercy. I am not here to beg and plead, and I don't want you doing that for me either.
Anyway, I don't know what on earth you're talking about anymore. No one objected to the disputed statement on the Talk page. The disputed statement is "The literature is supportive of adaptogenic properties of R. rosea and S. chinensis."
There isn't really a valid reason for Jytdog having removed it. Oh wait, he works for a pharmaceutical company developing neurological drugs, and has a conflict of interest that would actually explain why he is so opposed to legitimate alternative medicine. Practically every adaptogenic herb has a non-insignificant neurological effect. I urge you to read this thread about him. Also, his best buddy Alexbrn always magically appears to help him out in times of crisis.
As for the ANI, I knew the impotent admins were never going to help me, so I told them how I feel about them. They were basically looking for an easy cop out by accusing me of making personal attacks. --Hyperforin (talk) 06:59, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

I saw your logged out edit to my talk page. Thank you for that. I do contribute quite a lot to the encyclopedia. I have created five non-stub articles on classical Chinese poets this month alone, and created one of the best articles on Japanese poetry on the whole encyclopedia. You are the one who needs to learn to assume good faith, and you need to stop evading your block and logging out in order to harass other users. Hijiri 88 (聖やや) 22:17, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

I absolutely did not make that edit. It's another user who feels that way. The edit was made by an ISP assigned IP address in Canada. I am in the US. I have in the past made edits to a US oriented article. If you really want, an admin can probably confirm for you that it's not my IP and that my IP is US based. Please assume more bad faith so I can continue to tear apart your arguments. I have nothing to gain from harassing you. In retrospect, I need your support and that of others. Maybe you could think about what the anonymous user said. Finally, I have no doubt that you are a valuable editor, except maybe on the ANI page. Why do you waste your time there anyway? an admin can probably confirm for you that it's not my IP and that my IP is US based No, only CUs can access that data, and they won't tell. And you could be using proxies. Your claiming, like the IP, that I am assuming bad faith by agreeing with everyone else that you deserved a block is yet more evidence that you are the same person. A genuine Hijiri88 troll would have attacked me for my Junosoon block proposal last week, but not a peep - the IP that attacked me and QuackGuru had some vested interest in attacking people who specifically disagree with you. At first I thought you were just a little crazy, but you are both crazy and insane. Per your logic, maybe all the ANI editors who were against me are the same person. Now get off my page and preferably don't engage me in communication again. Go write your Asian poetry since you obviously have no knack for anything else.
