Hichki (English: Hiccup) is an upcoming Indian Bollywood drama film, directed by Sidharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.[1][2] The film is an adaptation of Hollywood film Front of the Class (2008), which itself was based on the book, Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had by Brad Cohen, of which Yash Raj Films acquired the rights.[3]. The film stars Rani Mukerji in the lead role of a teacher having Tourette syndrome. The film's trailer was launched on December 19, 2017 and was attached to the movie Tiger Zinda Hai[4]. The film will be released on 23 March 2018.[5][6]

Filming

Hichki, is inspired from 2008 film Front of the Class (film), based on the book of same name[3]. It took two months to film. The principal photography commenced on 4 April 2017[1][7] and the final scenes were shot on 5 June 2017. The crew wrapped up the patch up shoot with Mukherji on 12 November 2017.

Promotion

The official trailer for the film was attached with the mega Hindi release of the year, Tiger Zinda Hai.[6] on 19 December 2017.[8]
