Lopamudra Raut is an Indian model, beauty queen and actress from the state of Maharashtra.[4][5] She represented India at the Miss United Continents 2016 pageant where she was crowned the 2nd runner up.[6] Sh[7]e also won the "Best National Costume" award for India at the pageant. In 2016, she appeared as a contestant in the 10th Season of Indian reality show Bigg Boss on Colors TV where she was the 2nd runner up. Then she went on to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 8, where she finished as a semifinalist. Currently, she has signed two Bollywood films and has shot for a webseries named Baytakhol. Her debut Bollywood film is going to be a thriller named Blood Story.[8][9]
Education
Raut is an Electrical Engineer. She did B.E in Electrical engineering from G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur [3] in the year 2014.
Modeling and pageantry
Raut participated in Feminanal pageant of Goa in 2013 and was first runner-up. It gave her a direct entry to participate in Femina Miss India 2013, where she was a finalist.[10] She participated in Femina Miss India 2014 where she won the subtitle Miss Body Beautiful and made it to the top 5.[11] In the same year she took part in Miss Diva - 2014 pageant and made it to top 7 as a finalist.[12] In 2016, she was selected by Femina organizers to compete in Miss United Continents pageant. Raut was crowned as second runner-up at Miss United Continents 2016 which took place on 25 September 2016, in Guayaquil, Ecuador.[13][14][15]
Television Appearances
In 2016, Raut entered the Bigg Boss 10 house as a celebrity contestant.[16][17] She later survived for full 105 days and 15 weeks and managed to become the 2nd runner-up. She was known for her controversial fights with Bani J on the show. In 2017, Raut participated in Colors TV's stunt show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 and became a semi-finalist.[18]
