While the article makes no mention regarding the number of armed responders, I now see that the news report video does include info regarding the reaction time of neutralization within 6 seconds. So now including this reference in support of the first statement of this section. But it only reports that "some church members grabbed their guns". No specific count.

The West Freeway Church of Christ shooting occurred on December 29, 2019, in White Settlement, Texas, United States. The attack was live-streamed, as are all services at the church.[1] Video of the shooting appeared online in real time, and was captured, leading to multiple Twitter posts and YouTube videos showing the actual crime in progress.

Perpetrator

The gunman was identified as Keith Thomas Kinnunen, age 43, of River Oaks, Houston.[4]
