Africa
- Kenya: Nairobi: Dozens of people protested peacefully outside the U.S. Embassy.[1][2] Protesters also criticized Kenyan police over "extrajudicial killings and use of unnecessary force when enforcing Covid-19 rules" and accused the embassy of implied approval of American police brutality by remaining silent during the protests in the states.[1]
- Liberia: Monrovia: Dozens of people protested peacefully in front of the U.S. Embassy.[3][4]
- Nigeria:
- Abuja: People protested outside the U.S. Embassy, despite armed policemen stationed at the embassy.[5][6]
- Lagos: The Black Lives Matter Movement in Nigeria protested in Victoria Island despite heavy rainfall.[7][8] Critics were concerned instead about obtaining justice for 16-year-old Tina Ezekwe, who was suspected of being killed by Lagos State Police Command officers, and 22-year-old microbiology student Uwaila Omozuwa,[a] who was raped and killed at a church near Benin City.[7][10][9]
Asia
- Iran: Mashhad: A candlelight vigil was held for Floyd in Mellat Park.[11][12]
- Israel
- Jerusalem: Over 150 people protested against the killings of Floyd and Iyad al-Hallak, an unarmed autistic Palestinian student who was killed by police in Jerusalem while on his way to school.[13][14]
- Tel Aviv: Over 200 people protested against the killing of Floyd and Iyad al-Hallak outside police headquarters.[15]
- Japan: Tokyo: Around 200 people peacefully protested on May 30 against police brutality in light of the killing of Floyd and the beating by police of an ethnically Kurdish man living in Tokyo.[16]
Europe
- Belgium: Brussels: Around 50 people protested at the Place de la Monnaie on June 1, despite cancellation due to coronavirus restrictions.[17]
- Denmark: Copenhagen: Around 2,000 people gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy for a peaceful protest on May 31.[18]
- France:
- Bordeaux: About 300 people protested in Parvis des Droits de l'Homme in front of the French National School for the Judiciary.[19]
- Paris: 20,000 people protested all throughout Paris to protest both the killing of George Floyd, as well as the 2016 death of Adama Traore by French police[20]. People[quantify][when?] protested outside the U.S. Embassy.[21] On June 2, thousands of protesters demonstrated in front of the main courthouse in Paris for George Floyd and for Adama Traoré, a French black man who died in police custody in 2016. The protest was illegal due to coronavirus restrictions. Police used tear gas.[22]
- Germany
- Berlin: Thousands of people protested in Berlin on May 30.[23] Many gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy, chanting "black lives matter."[23]
- Munich: About 350 people protested in Munich on May 31.[24] Protestors peacefully marched through the inner city and passed by the U.S. Consulate.[24]
- Greece
- Athens: About 300 supporters of the Greek Communist Party's youth wing marched and demonstrated outside the U.S. Embassy in Athens.[25]
- Thessaloniki: A group of protesters peacefully marched to the American Consulate in the center of the city in solidarity to the protesters and victims of racism and police violence in the United States. Protesters also burned an American flag in front of the consulate.[26]
- Ireland: Dublin: On May 31, About 100 people held a peaceful demonstration outside the U.S. Embassy in Dublin.[27] On June 1, thousands of marchers gathered again in Dublin to continue protests.[28]
- Italy:
- Milan: People peacefully protested outside the U.S. Consulate.[29][30]
- Rome: About 50 people protested peacefully in front of the U.S. Embassy.[31]
- Netherlands:
- Amsterdam: Over 4000 people protested on June 1 against police brutality in the United States and Europe.[32]
- Groningen: Between 800 and 1,500 people protested seated on June 2 against police brutality in the United States and Europe.[33]
- The Hague: Around 1,500 people gathered on the Malieveld on June 2 against police brutality in the United States and Europe.[33]
- Slovakia: Bratislava: Around 100 people gathered on June 1 near the US Embassy at the Hviezdoslav Square in peaceful protest, wearing face masks.[34]
- Spain: Barcelona: Over 350 people protested outside the American Consulate General.[35]

- England
- Liverpool: On May 31, hundreds of people gathered outside St George's Hall.[38]
- London: A peaceful protest with more than 20 participants occurred on May 28 outside the U.S. Embassy.[39] On May 31, thousands of people protested in Trafalgar Square and outside the embassy. Five people were arrested, three for violating COVID-19 restrictions and two for assaulting police.[40]
- Manchester: On May 31, hundreds of people marched through Manchester to St. Ann's Square.[41]
- Northern Ireland
- Derry: A vigil was held at Free Derry Corner on May 29.[42]
- Belfast: Over 100 people gathered for a solidarity vigil organised by the Connolly Youth Movement held at Writers' Square on May 31.[43] Around 100 people attended a protest at Belfast City Hall on June 1.[44]
- Wales
- Cardiff: Hundreds of protesters peacefully protested on May 31, outside Cardiff Castle.[45]
North America
Canada
- Calgary, Alberta: About 100 protesters assembled in Calgary's Fish Creek Park, on May 31,[46] and over 1,500 in Downtown Calgary the following day.[47]
- Greater Sudbury, Ontario: on May 31, about 200 people gathered peacefully in front of the city’s courthouse and marched through downtown, ending at police headquarters. [48][49] Another protest, organized by two indigenous ninth grade students, is scheduled for June 10th at Bell Park. [50][51]
- Fredericton, New Brunswick: Thousands of people marched in Fredericton on June 2.[52] The event was organized by the New Brunswick African Association.[52]
- Halifax, Nova Scotia: Thousands of people protested peacefully downtown.[53] Demonstrators took a knee for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.[53]
- Moncton, New Brunswick: Over 500 people protested peacefully outside Moncton City Hall on June 1.[54] The event was organized by a high school student.[54]
- Montreal, Quebec: Thousands attended a protest outside the Montreal police headquarters on May 31.[55] The protests escalated into unrest, and police fired tear gas.[56]
- Ottawa, Ontario: On Saturday, May 30 a group of 5 white people held a protest in front of the US Embassy.[57]. What looks to be a very large rally, called for by some members of the Black community in Ottawa, is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday June 5.[58]
- Peterborough, Ontario: On June 2nd, hundreds of protesters gathered for a rally in Peterborough's Millennium Park and marched to Confederation Square, across from the city hall, for a second peaceful rally. [59]
- Saskatoon, Saskatchewan: Hundreds rallied outside the Saskatoon City Hall, on May 30.[60]
- Toronto, Ontario: Over 4,000 individuals peacefully marched from Christie Park to Toronto Police Headquarters in protest against anti-black and anti-indigenous racism on May 30 following the death of Regis Korchinski-Paquet, a Black Canadian woman who fell from a high-rise building on May 27 in the presence of police.[61][62][63]
- Vancouver, British Columbia: About 100 protesters marched in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, on May 30.[64]
Oceania
- Australia:
- Perth: Hundreds[b] of people protested at Forrest Place in the central business district (CBD).[65]
- Sydney: Hundreds of protestors peacefully marched from Hyde Park to Parliament and Martin Place to show solidarity with American protestors and to highlight the high rate of death amongst incarcerated Indigenous Australians.[68][69]
- New Zealand:
- Auckland: About 4000 protesters peacefully marched from Aotea Square down Queen Street to the American Consulate General on June 1.[70][71] The American flag in front of the consulate general appeared to have been removed prior to the protest.[72]
- Christchurch: More than 500 people gathered at a demonstration in Cathedral Square on June 1.[70][72][71]
- Dunedin: Hundreds of people protested peacefully at The Octagon.[73]
- Palmerston North: About 30 people protested at The Square.[74] A separate group of 40 people peacefully protested outside the police station.[74]
- Tauranga: About 25 to 30 protesters marched down The Strand despite heavy rainfall.[75]
- Wellington: Over 100 people marched from Frank Kitts Park to Parliament, Police National Headquarters, and the U.S. Embassy.[76] About 2000 people attended a vigil in the evening on Parliament's lawn, despite pouring rain.[76]
- Smaller protests were also held on June 1 in other New Zealand centres, such as Hamilton.[75]
South America
- Brazil: Rio de Janeiro: Hundreds of people protested at the square in front of the Rio de Janeiro state government palace.[77] The protest also responded to the police killing of 14-year-old João Pedro Matos, who was shot in the back during a police operation in São Gonçalo, and took place during another nearby protest against President Jair Bolsonaro, both of which were dispersed with tear gas by police[78].
