Khaali Peeli is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language romantic action film directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Ali Abbas Zafar, Zee Studios and Himanshu Mehra. The films stars Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey with Jaideep Ahlawat as antagonist.[1] The principal photography commenced on 11 September 2019, but was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[2][3][4]. The film will be having an OTT release through ZEE5[5] The teaser received negative reviews from the audiences, and its teaser received 1.7 million dislikes on YouTube within a week of upload.[6][7] The film will premiere on Zee Plex and ZEE5 on 2 October, 2020.[8]
Plot

The story is about two childhood sweethearts Pooja and Blackie who gets separated due to certain circumstances when they were kids. Pooja, who is now a prostitute, decides to escape the brothel on turning 18, with a bag full of stolen money. She bumps into Blackie who is now a very ‘chalu’ Bombay taxi driver. He agrees to ‘drive’ her to freedom, in exchange for a hefty amount.This leads to a series of chase and escape – with the goons on Pooja's trail and the cops on the goons’ trail. Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter will be seen in the lead roles.

Reception
The teaser was released on Aug 23th, 2020 on YouTube by Zee Studios [9]. It received 1.7 million dislikes on its first week of release, owning to the nepotism debate. The teaser becomes world's second most disliked video after Sadak 2 [10] and makes it way into List of most-disliked YouTube videos.

The film's music composed by Vishal–Shekhar while lyrics are written by Kumaar and Raj Shekhar.
