Vani Bhojan is an Indian film actress, television actress and former fashion model who predominantly appears and works in Tamil cinema. She is best known for her role as Sathya in the Indian Tamil-language soap opera Deivamagal for which she was awarded the Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal for Best Actress in 2018.[2] She made her cinematic debut as female lead in Telugu movie Meeku Maathrame Cheptha in 2019.[3]

Later she appeared in an second lead role in the Tamil movie, Oh My Kadavule[4] in 2020 and in the crime thriller Lock Up.[5].

Early life

Vani Bhojan was born in Ooty, Nilgiri District, Tamilnadu. She did her schooling in boarding school, Ooty and completed her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in Government Arts College, Ooty.[6]

Career

Television (2010 - Present)

Bhojan started her modeling in 2010,[6] In 2012 she was in cast in Jaya TV series Maya.[7] She subsequently got a leading role in the TV series Aaha[8] serial which was telecasted in Vijay TV. After Aaha was completed, but this two serial failure in the TRP. Later She was cast in the Sun TV series Deivamagal[9] in a leading role This serial was very successful in the TRP for which she was awarded the Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal for Best Actress in 2018[2] and Ghalatta Nakshatra Award for Best actress.[10] This serial was a very successful for Vani Bhojan to act in Kollywood and Tollywood. She was also seen in Lakshmi Vanthachu on Zee Tamil.[11]

Debut in Cinema (2010 - Present)

She first appeared in 2010, Tamil movie Orr Eravuu.[12] Later she appeared in Tamil movie Adigaram 79[13] and Telugu movie Prema[14] but that film commercial failure at the box office. This three film are she appeared in supporting role. But her Official Cinematic debut as Lead female role was in the Telugu film Meeku Maathrame Cheptha in 2019. [15] which was a commercial failure at the box office.

In 2020, she played one of the female lead Oh My Kadavule[16] with Ashok Selvan.[17][4] which was a commercial success at the box office.[18] In the same year, she played a main female lead in the Crime thriller film Lock Up with Vaibhav Reddy.[19] [20] However, the delay of the film and the subsequent COVID-19 pandemic meant that the film had an O-T-T release on Zee5[21] and released on 14 August 2020.[22] After Lock Up movie Bhojan roped into Aadhav Kannadasan Thriller film Thazh Thiravaa[23], Bhojan acting with Vikram Prabhu movie.[24] and also acting with Atharvaa movie.[25]
