AERCO International is a leading supplier of commercial boilers and water heating equipment in the HVAC/plumbing industry. Henry Angelery founded AERCO in 1949 with the purpose to deliver on demand temperature controlled water heating without storage. Since 1949, AERCO has expanded through its leadership in benchmark innovations and operating efficiency. The company is recognized worldwide for their invention of semi-instantaneous water heating and a product line that is able to achieve 99% efficiency.
Location
The company’s headquarters is located in Northvale, New Jersey, less than twenty miles northwest of New York City. AERCO currently earns $100 million annual revenue and employs 150 people. Recently, AERCO has begun the construction for a new location in Blauvelt, New York. The facility will encompass 156,000 square feet and its completion is projected for early March 2011.
Company History
In 1949, AERCO introduced a revolutionary design for an indirect-fired water heater, which has become the standard for today's water heaters. This design allows the water to be heated on demand at a controlled temperature without storage,
In 1988, AERCO became the first U.S. manufacturer to offer a fully modulating and condensing commercial gas fired water heater. This design coordinates the boiler's output to current demand ensuring that the boiler does not draw more than the necessary amount of fuel. After it's release, AERCO promptly extended this design into the hydronic boiler marketplace.
In 2009, AERCO received recognition from three leading trade publications-Building Operating Management, Environmental Design + Construction, and The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News.

AERCO products are used worldwide in every type of commercial location. In the past decade AERCO products have been installed in over:

AERCO produces boilers, water heaters, steam generators, and controls that create the water heating systems used in all commercial locations.
KC1000- The KC1000 boiler was introduced in 1988 becoming the first high-efficiency, commercial, gas-fired, hydronic boiler in the U.S. The boiler's condensing heat exchanger design is built to withstand thermal shock and eliminates the need for pumping equipment. Throughout the heating loop the modulating burner operates with 20:1 turndown (natural gas) to deliver up to 95% thermal efficiency.
Low NOx Burner- The Low NOx (Nitrogen oxide) Burner is an addition to the KC1000 model. With the low NOx burner the KC1000 models produce <30 ppm of NOx corrected to 3% of excess air, making the boilers and water heaters more environmentally friendly. Its performance is achieved due to the sophisticated gas plate design that ensures the proper levels of water and oxygen at all times.
Benchmark- The Benchmark boilers' condensing heat exchanger design is built to withstand thermal shock and eliminates the need for boiler pumping equipment. Benchmark boilers can be used in almost any hydronic system, including space-heating loops, heat pump, radiant heat, snow melt systems, and process applications.
Modulex- The Modulex line of condensing and fully modulating boilers supports 300,000 to 1,000,000 BTU/hr hydronic heating systems. Each Modulex boiler combines independent, 151,500 BTU/hr thermal modules that operate to deliver turndown from 6:1 to 23:1, depending on the unit.
SmartPlate- In 2009, the SmartPlate became AERCO's newest domestic water heater. It brings precise temperature control to the water-to-water heater construction without the need for storage tanks and blending valves. The SmartPlate heaters utilize a PID (proportional-integral-derivative) temperature controller, load monitoring system, and electronic control valve to maintain +/- 4 degrees Fahrenheit temperature control of up to 90 GPM domestic loads at 100 degrees Fahrenheit rise.
Helitherm Style Indirect Heaters- The Helitherm Style Indirect Heaters are the most thermally efficient domestic water heating packages available for commercial and industrial use. The feed-forward monitoring system and fully modulating control valves maintain +/- 4 degrees Fahrenheit water temperatures under the diversified load patterns of commercial domestic hot water applications. The two-pass helical coil heat exchanger design is self-descaling and produces sub-cooled condensate (<160 degrees Fahrenheit) to preserve the condensate return pump life at 90%-99% efficiency.
U-Tube Double Wall- The U-Tube Double Wall line of thermally efficient heaters brings precise temperature control to the double-wall construction designs, used in commercial and industrial tankless water heaters. This heater incorporates a unique feed-forward monitoring system and fully modulating steam control valve to maintain +/- 4 degrees Fahrenheit temperature control in high/low steam pressure or boiler water environments.
Clean Steam Generators- AERCO's Clean Steam Generators produce clean steam from fresh, potable water, using treated boiler plant steam or water as the heat source. This is a healthy alternative to chemically treated boiler plant steam.
Esteem- The Esteem Boilers are 200-pound wall-hung boilers with a stain steel heat exchanger. The forced draft, modulating burner operates with 3.6:1 turndown to deliver up to 95% thermal efficiency.
