The poster listed on the page looks very modern, especially when compared to the posters that came before and after it. Are we sure this is the original poster? Supertanno (talk) 17:11, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Do not delete this. Move it to Wikisource as a speech. I will do it myself when I get home from work. 02:50, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Thank you. That's what I've been trying to get done ever since I listed this on VfD. RickK 18:34, Sep 7, 2004 (UTC)

Success of Star Wars overstated

I think the article is putting too much emphasis on Star Wars' success at the Academy Awards, specifically with the inclusion of a Star Wars chapter, and too little on Annie Hall's. As you can see here, Annie Hall is one of the 16 movies with the distinction of narrowly missing the "Grand Slam" of the Oscars by winning 4 out of the 5 most important awards. Star Wars won none of the big 5. Arguably, Annie Hall's AA success was as big as or bigger than Star Wars'.

I would suggest taking out the Star Wars chapter and adding more categories to the Winners section. -- Repetition (talk) 17:17, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Was Marcel Durham nominated for an Academy Award?

oscar.org says no. ImdB and many other film websites say yes. A newspaper from 1978 says yes. I'm confused. Who knows the answer? --46.142.53.131 (talk) 19:19, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
