::You should have tagged this as an edit request, then it may have gotten attention. As such, I find the comment above to be a misrepresentation; the new version has little resemblance to the German version (this English version is more "fluffy" and omits the criticism in the German article), and it appears that the edits by the company in that article were reverted. I am reverting this one for the time being. Please re-propose properly. Also, COI edit requests need more than just a week to get a response. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:52, 24 February 2021 (UTC) |

The history section is outdated and consists only of a list. I think it should be converted to regular text. |

* Why it should be changed: |
|||
As far as I understand, lists are generally not recommended to describe the history of a company. (There is even a template for this.) So I have provided a new history section on my user sandbox. |

* References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): |
|||
I've added independent sources to the draft on my user sandbox (and removed all references to the corporate website). Although they are in German, they come from reliable sources (Handelsblatt, Die Welt, etc.) |

Advert/COI
This article seemed to have become an advert for this company, but taking it back to something more encyclopedic seems to have just been reverted by a series of Anons/new users. On checking their edit records, there seems a clear case of WP:COI here. Tags applied. --Trident13 (talk) 12:10, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
COI
Dear Trident13,
I will not hide the fact that I have a close connection to E&V. Many of my reverts are due to the fact that I have access to correct info and some parts were adapted incorrectly. Some edits also removed large parts of the article, due to those removals the article lost a great part of its value. This does not mean that I have not made some mistakes such as reverting the relocation of links to a new section called "external links". But do understand my close watch on the page due to the fact that the first page I tried to make was adapted, adjusted, ... by my competitors and therefor later-on also removed. I am always open to critic, to help me further adapt the article into an as neutral possible point of view as I am off course still a wikipedia noob. Nickdeclercq (talk 12:17, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Remove, delete or rewrite US Franchise sections
Sections 3,4,&5 are pretty pointless. Can't it be summed up with just "some US franchises have gone due to...." whatever. The section is probably of no interest to readers outside the US, like me. Petedavo talk contributions 05:42, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Metropolitan Market Center concept?
The article refers twice to the "Metropolitan Market Center concept". Is this something proprietary? Can anyone expand on this? Denis (talk) 11:44, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Update(s)
The article has not been updated for quite some time. Therefore, we have provided a translation from German Wikipedia. This can be found here in our user namespace. We hereby propose it for adoption, as it also contains a lot of more reliable references. Feedback is very welcome. -- AH at Engel & Völkers (talk) 06:22, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- Since no feedback was received, we have published the update. It contains significantly more references from independent sources. We keep the conflict of interest notice and highly appreciate further community feedback. -- AH at Engel & Völkers (talk) 07:33, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
