Olmo was born on March 25, 1999, in the Arecibo area of Puerto Rico to Tommy and Anabelle Olmo[2] and later moved to Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of five.[4]

Fired from a job at UPS in 2019, Dior started recording his songs produced by Nick Mira on SoundCloud.[5][6] Dior's first song was "Cutthroat", which has been played over 5 million times.[6][7] His first streaming single was "Gone Girl" recorded with Trippie Redd.[8] He got into the New Zealand Hot Singles Chart.[9] In 2019, Dior's first studio album was published, entitled Industry Plant,[10] which got on the US and Canadian charts.[11][12]
