Reason: Recently it seems like every other day I have to revert new/unregistered users' additions to this BLP that fail WP:NPOV or WP:V, e.g. loaded text, mentioning things she said just to contradict them, whatever this noise is, etc. A chronic issue is tons of different people adding and re-adding an uncited birth date in clear violation of WP:DOB, e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, and the icing of someone making me watch a video just to discover it wasn't in the source: 5. Note that this activity is coming from tons of different users, mainly IPs, so I think page protection is warranted. Now per WP:RGTSP I should mention that some new-ish accounts have made good contributions recently, e.g. here and here, but these contributors would not be stopped if auto-confirmation were required to edit. It would be really nice not to constantly see this page at the top of my watchlist with some new problem, and to free up that energy for improving the encyclopedia. Thanks! Request protection of a page, or increasing the protection level

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Unconstructive editing by various non-autoconfirmed editors. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 15:47, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Aman.kumar.goel: What's the issue here? The talk page has no activity, the user who's been making those edits has a redlinked talk page, and I don't see how it's vandalism. Sdrqaz (talk) 19:58, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Declined – Content dispute. Please use the article's talk page or other forms of dispute resolution. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:58, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: IP and throwaway-account vandalism every few days, of an anti-Armenian and anti-Kurdish, pro-Turk nature, in violation of WP:ARBAA. This has been going on for years and is probably mostly the same person or couple of people, but it has accellerated recently. I'm not sure any IP or new-account edits to this article have ever been constructive.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  17:27, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 1 year, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 19:36, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Note: Regular admin action, though WP:ARBAA worthy. low intensity, prolonged duration vandalism --Deepfriedokra (talk) 19:36, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – BLP violations from ip addresses since March that also impact a page covered under WP:ARBEE. Morbidthoughts (talk) 21:41, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 1 month, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Ad Orientem (talk) 00:54, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry – I have reasons to believe there is socking going on here. I have no idea who the sockmaster would be, so can't exactly compile an SPI at this time. However, we've had various and random users and IPs making the same or fairly similar edits in the last several months. Amaury21:49, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DeclinedWarn the user appropriately then report them to AIV or ANI if they continue. Ad Orientem (talk) 00:57, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: High level of vandalism from IP and recently-created vandalism-only accounts Hawkeye7 (discuss) 22:17, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected indefinitely. Ad Orientem (talk) 00:59, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Immediate resume of previous editing behaviours which stemmed from previous a protection, which lifted less than 24-hours ago. livelikemusic (TALK!) 22:29, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 1 month, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Ad Orientem (talk) 01:02, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Please look at history. - AwfulReader(talk) 23:58, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pending-changes protected for a period of 6 months, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Low level of editing but most IP edits have been disruptive. Ad Orientem (talk) 01:04, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry – User is continuing to add Happy Tree Friends. FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 00:06, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 1 year, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Ad Orientem (talk) 01:05, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement – WP:ARBEE. Painting17 (talk) 00:48, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. New article with no history of disruptive editing. If that changes, come back. Ad Orientem (talk) 01:07, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!
