Lucía García Córdoba (Spanish pronunciation: [luˈθi.a ɣaɾˈθi.a];[a] born 14 July 1998) is a Spanish professional football forward currently playing for Manchester United in the Barclays WSL.

Career

Club career

García made her debut in first division with Oviedo Moderno at the age of 15, later signing for Athletic Bilbao when she was 18.[3]

On 25 July 2022 it was announced that García had joined English side Manchester United on a two year deal.

International

García made her debut match for the senior national team on 2 March 2018 against Belgium.[4]

In 2019, she was called up for the World Cup. García scored the third goal in Spain's 3–1 win against South Africa.

Personal

García was the only female in a set of quadruplets, who were born in Barakaldo, Basque Country[1] after their mother decided on a hospital specialising in multiple births. She spent her early life in Aller, Asturias and has stated that none of her brothers were interested in football while they were growing up.[1]
