Question about your request for page protection

Hi Fancy vibēs, there is currently a question about your page protection request at WP:RFPP. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:17, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

STOP

I noticed that you removed a significant amount of content from WP:GSCASTE sanctioned pages without prior discussion. I intend to restore it for now, and I kindly request that you refrain from removing content based solely on essays, as seen in your use of WP:RAJ in every removal edit summary. – DreamRimmer (talk) 01:47, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@DreamRimmer I have always stated clearly why I removed content based on WP:RAJ sources, content based on the Wikipedia mirror, sources where Wikipedia itself was used as a source, or content that was not backed up by the source. I hope you understand the significance of removing such items or poorly sourced material. If you have any doubts about my intentions, you can also ask Sitush for help or for the explanation thank you. Fancy vißes (call) 01:54, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) I don't think @Sitush: is responsible for your removals, and the article WP:RAJ that you referenced in your edit summaries is an essay. Such significant changes to WP:GSCASTE sanctioned articles are a matter of discussion. – DreamRimmer (talk) 02:09, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@DreamRimmer You are correct. Sitush is not responsible for the removal of sources of the WP:RAJ era and I just mentioned him because he also always mentioned WP:RAJ sources are not reliable for the Caste based pages of south Asian communities. I understand the significance of WP:GSCASTE. You can revert if you believe I made any mistakes or that my summaries are not valid, but it is not a good practice to revert WP:RAJ era sources, Wikipedia mirrors, poorly sourced content, or the content that was placed without proving proper citation, page numbers, or quotes for verification purposes. In short, I think you are certainly talking about the Rajputs in Gujarat page and the Rajputs of Himachal Pradesh. You can check the edit history and reasons for removing content, or you can also check whether the given reasons or summaries were 100% accurate or not before omitting the material. I make sure by reading each citation and source before taking any action. Thank you again. I don't want to make excuses or keep the conversation going. I told you that you can undo any changes that you believe are inaccurate, as long as they are within the scope of Wikipedia guidelines against WP:RAJ sources, Wikipedia mirrors, poorly sourced material, and so on. Fancy vißes (call) 02:23, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have undone your changes on the Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty. There has been a lengthy discussion in the past about these types of changes, which can be seen on its talk page. Please feel free to start a new discussion on the talk page, and if a clear consensus emerges, I have no objections to these changes. – DreamRimmer (talk) 04:39, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@DreamRimmer there is not any discussion regarding this issue see talk page of Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty and what about Chaulukya of Gujarat.? They are also mentioned in many refrences as Gurjar as well as Rajput Fancy vißes (call) 05:12, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please see Talk:Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty/Archive 1. In this archive, you will find many discussions related to this change. I don't understand why you called me a Rajput here just because of my one revert. Please carefully examine the summary of my revert in which I stated that many sources have referred to this dynasty as Rajput. Therefore, it is a matter of discussion whether your changes are correct or not. You cannot blame others to justify yourself. I have never discussed Chalukya, so I have no knowledge about that subject. – DreamRimmer (talk) 05:34, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@DreamRimmer I never called you a Rajput action speak by saying that it doesn't matter if you're a Rajput or not, and you shouldn't mind if I'm a Jat, Rajput, or Gurjar, because it doesn't matter. It is preferable if you can wait for responses from some admins on the talk page. I've tagged there, so please don't revert any changes until the admins are involved, because I understand your concern or intention. I admire you, but please be patient. If the administrators reverse my change or argue that I am incorrect, I will not make any further changes. I will definitely take a step back because we are both South Asians and it is more convenient to trust the experts. I hope so you will understand. Fancy vißes (call) 05:55, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also agree that this should be discussed and haven't made any edits other than that one revert. What other users think about these changes is their personal opinion. It's worth noting that you have already violated WP:1RR by making more than one revert on that page. – DreamRimmer (talk) 06:10, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@DreamRimmer yes, so it's best to be patient and await the admins' involvement. I am going to discuss this issue again with admins and their involvement before that I also requested admins for the protection increase and they made the protection increase so you can understand my intention is only to stand with right or wrong without engaging in any battle ground or hate so it's my last comment please be patient, wait and see what admins will say or do if they removed my claim according to Wikipedia guidelines so who the hell I am not to agree with the decision. So I am not opposed to any particular person or community, so you should try to figure out if I am using reliable sources it means we should not engage in edit warnings or battle ground and only admins can resolve this issue in a better way. Original heading: "Please add the precious information regarding the origin of the Dynasty" ~ ToBeFree (talk) 12:02, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@User:ToBeFree and User:Tamzin sorry for the disturbance I am just pinging you here a user might be a Rajput he believed Gurjara-pratihara dynasty was a Rajput dynasty it all start when James Tod a colonial writer wrongly wrote Huns, Taank, Gurjar, Jats even many other ethnic groups and Tribes clans of other ethnic groups as Rajput and this same thing start till now but all modern historians are agreed Rajput community is a cluster of many tribes and castes and it was formed in 12th or 13th century even after the Fall of Gurjar Pratihar dynasty then how Gurjara Pratihara can be Rajput and Rajput community was formed by the Process of Rajputization. Because Gurjara Pratihara belonged to Pratihara of Gurjara. I am also leaving same references those I used on the article please see. Using the article's talk page for discussing content is fine and a good first step. This should be done without making guesses about other users' backgrounds or complaining about their conduct to administrators. Neither Tamzin nor me are involved in this content dispute as far as I can see, so there is no reason to ping and address us with a message. If discussion fails, noticeboards exist for reporting conduct issues. All of this is described by the dispute resolution policy, which also contains a helpful pyramid to keep in mind during talk page discussions. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 12:03, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved your message from the article's talk page because, as described above, it was written in a way unsuitable for article talk pages. Please try again without directly addressing users or user conduct. Focus on the content. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 12:05, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Gujjars founded a group of dynasties that controlled areas of Rajasthan, Central India, and Gujarat from 7th to 11th century A.D. The most powerful branch of the Gujjars was the Pratihara, whose power was centered in the Jodhpur region of Rajasthan. The Pratiharas contended with the Rashtrakuta of the Deccan and the Palas of Bengal for imperial hegemony during the 9th century and controlled the great cities of Kanauj and Ujjain. The greatest Pratihara ruler was Bhoja I, reigned about 836-882 A.D., whose wealth and military might greatly impressed the Arabs.

In the mid 9th century, the Gurjjaras rose to the imperial heights in the north and western India under their patriarch Bhoja I. However, after his demise, the empire could not be held together for long. His son Mahendrapala-I could maintain his father's empire. He is known to have enlarged it towards the east, and his son Mahipala extended the realm deeper in the Western Himalayan interiors. The Imperial Gurjjaras ruled uninterruptedly for about four centuries since their rise in the 6th century, until Kanauj fell under the attack of Mahmud of Ghazni. During that period, not only they held their realm together, but also buttressed it up against the foreign attacks and aggressions.
