Tatlin was born in Moscow.

Please stop changing his place of birth. Tatlin was born in Moscow in 1885, and moved with his family to Kharkiv years later. These are just some of the many sources that state this:

Boersma, Linda. 0,10. The Last Futurist Exhibition of Painting. Rotterdam: 010 Publishers, 1994.

Lynton, Norbert. Tatlin's Tower: Monument to Revolution. New Haven: Yale University Press, 2009.

Rowell, Margit. “Vladimir Tatlin: Form/Faktura.” October Vol. 7 Winter 1978: 83-108.

Museum Tinguely Basel. Tatlin: New Art for a New World. Basel: Hatje Cantz, 2012.

I have updated the page leaving both Kharkiv and Moscow (although academic sources say he was born in Moscow) Brandmajor (talk) 12:18, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure, the sources above are to be trusted? I dont have them (so I cant even check if they say what Gabsvillalobos claims they do) and all the sources I do have do say that he was born in Charkow/Kharkiv:

I have added citations to the books mentioned by Gabsvillalobos that indeed say that Tatlin was born in Moscow. Soqquad (talk) 21:25, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Selivestrov Penza Art School"

Just wanted to note there's a glitch in the main text involving "Selivestrov Penza Art School." I wasn't sure how to fix it, but wanted to draw it to your attention. It currently looks like this: [[:ru:%D0%9F%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B7%D0%B5%D0%BD%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B5 %D1%85%D1%83%D0%B4%D0%BE%D0%B6%D0%B5%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B2%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B5 %D1%83%D1%87%D0%B8%D0%BB%D0%B8%D1%89%D0%B5 %D0%B8%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8 %D0%9|N.Selivestrov Penza Art School]] Yalunga (talk) 04:44, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why was it written "Russian and Ukrainian artist"?

His parents were both from Oryol, Russia. They were both Russians. Even if he was born in Kharkov, it was then part of the Russian Empire. There's literally nothing about him to call him "Ukrainian". 2A0D:6FC2:67D1:2400:F9D6:635C:3547:1D30 (talk) 22:51, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And there was a large presence of Ukrainians that was scrubbed and destroyed. Many Ukrainians in South Western russia were killed during the Holodomor or russified.
