Gowerton Comprehensive School or Gowerton Comp is a public secondary school located in the heart of Gowerton village, near Swansea.

The school in its present form was created in 1973 from the merger of Gowerton Girls' Grammar School and Gowerton Boys' Grammar School.

School layout design

Blocks

A block

A block is the largest of all other five blocks in the school. A block contains mostly the English, French and some Science rooms also. There are also may other language rooms in A block, mostly German and Spanish.

A block also contains a gymnasium, the main hall and a canteen used for the main students of the school.

B block

B block mostly contains the Mathematics, R.E. and D.T. rooms. It also contains the more recently built S.T.F. rooms, used for students with Asperger's syndrome. There are also several sixth-form rooms.

B block also has a canteen, but used for the sixth-formers and the year 11's.

C block

C block mostly contains the Art, Geography, History and Music rooms. It also contains a drama studio.

D block

D block is mainly used for Science, D.T. and Drama, but also contains the school nurse's office. There is also a sports hall there.

E block

E block contains two Mathematics rooms, one History and one R.E. room.

F block

F block is commonly used for Welsh.
