== Watch Wrestling? ==

First, I don't really care if you don't want to say outside interference is or isn't a move...just like wrestling, it's somewhat of a joke. Many people would say outside interference is a move btw.

Revision as of 23:26, 14 December 2007

Welcome to my talk page If you are going to leave me a message, do not expect a response to it on your own talk page. I believe having a conversation on multiple pages just confuses the issue and causes problems to be solved less quickly. I will respond to any questions on this page. Add it to your watchlist if you want to know when I respond. Thank you.

Rob Van Dam Edit

Why did you undo my RVD edit which covers his post WWE tenure by touring the UK, doing signings, and working with the BBC and documentary work?

EDIT: I have just noticed somebody did in fact vandalise the article with a false claim (to the extent of a fan getting a shout out) - but instead of deleting the comment, you deleted the whole article.

My apologies. I tend to revert one too many edits on occasion. Gavyn Sykes 19:40, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Summerslam

they've been airing commercials in memphis hinting that the undertaker will be returning at unforgiven on september 16 in memphis,tn. User:Cowboycaleb1 —The preceding signed but undated comment was added at 03:51:45, August 19, 2007 (UTC).

Chuck Palumbo

I'm not sure what your argument is, Gavyn.

It is well established that Heat is an extension of the RAW brand.

Heat features RAW wrestlers.

Chuck Palumbo is being featured (and pushed) on Heat, having beaten established RAW wrestler Charlie Haas, and is being featured again this week.

I don't know how this can not mean that Palumbo is a RAW brand wrestler.

If Velocity were still around, and Palumbo showed up there, he would then be considered a Smackdown wrestler because that was Smackdown's designated "sister show", just like Heat is to RAW.

I'm afraid we're in disagreement over this issue sir, and I believe I'm in the right on this one.

name calling

isnt tolerated on wikipedia. Also "ganging" up on someone is trouble to. Now why dont you keep your nose out of business that you have no part of and try not to start a war? BlueShrek 22:49, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where has he ever called you a name Shrek? Also, please check out the guidelines and policies, anybody on WP can get involved in any situation. TJ Spyke 22:58, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I believe he's referring to the time on your Talk page when I called him "Shrek boy" which I only did, as I couldn't recall his name, but I knew Shrek was in it. Gavyn Sykes 23:00, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"I saw him report you to the admins for a violation of the 3RR" False the spartan reported him i havent made no effort to get him blocked because blocking is stupid. "which you didn't violate." Yes, he did violate it check the page history "If you give me a direct link, I can try to back you up" This is called "ganging up" and isnt tolerated on here. "since Shrek boy" Petty name calling which, if i see again i will report your ass "seems to have Rob with him." I have no one with me youll see ive made no contact with him Im looking out for the articles not the people on here. "I'd hate to see you get another temp ban" Me to, but the facts are he violated the rule "You're a vital part of the WikiProject" POV

So you see YOU have tried to start shit that #1 isnt even happening right now and #2 isnt any of your concern. Have a nice day and remember DONT NAME CALL.BlueShrek 23:02, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone needs to adopt him and teach him the rules

Some one needs to adopt you and tell you not to run your mouth on wikipedia because i have read over all the rules and youre violating WAY more than me.BlueShrek 23:06, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please point me in the direction of these rules I have violated. I am not running my mouth. I am attempting to resolve this. You are the one causing it to escalate, you're inciting flames. Gavyn Sykes 23:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

S vs. R 2008

Sorry about that bad edit, I saw the undo button, which I had never seen brfore, and pushed it, so it did that, Sorry again. Killswitch Engage 05:41, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's ok. I did the same thing once or twice when I was starting out. Don't worry about it. Gavyn Sykes 05:44, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Vandalism"? But why?

Good evening.

Recently, I edited the Dave Bautista article. You decided to undo the edit, for your own reasons, and maybe you were right to do so. However, you stated: "Reverted 1 edit by TheCursed identified as vandalism to last revision by Bmg916.".

Oh my God... Vandalism? How come? "Vandalism is any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia.". Maybe the changes I made were awful, but nonetheless, I did not try to "compromise the integrity of Wikipedia" deliberately, AT ALL, and I strongly believe that this is more than just obvious.

I feel somewhat insulted that you considered the edit "vandalism". I don't want you to apologise or anything, but I have a question: Do you really believe it was valdalism?

Thanks.TheCursed 11:47, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As it turns out, you're correct. I accidentally hit the "Rollback Vandalism" button on Twinkle rather than just "Rollback." My apologies. Gavyn Sykes 15:31, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No need to apologize, I just wanted to know. There is a lot of vandalism around and mistakes cannot be avoided anyway. Thank you for the answer. :) TheCursed 19:07, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I end up reverting a lot of it myself, and I get so used to hitting "rollback vandalism" that I mess up on regular edits. Thanks for understanding. Anyway, I hope you continue to contribute to the pro wrestling Wikiproject. Gavyn Sykes 19:47, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I will!

By the way, it seems that we enjoy pretty much the same video games. :) TheCursed 18:42, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's good to here. It's not often we get a new member who is constructive. Go here to see the project page if you haven't already. The talk page is something to watch.

COTW weekly notice

Whenever the template is finished being updated, if you are the first to notice/the one to update it, could you pop on over to User talk:Misza13 and let her know? We're supposed to notify her every week. If you could, then that would be great. I'll be asking some other users to do the same thing. Cheers, The Hybrid 20:45, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I'm not 100% of which template you're actually referring to. Gavyn Sykes 19:04, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WWE Cyber Sunday

Could you help me with these IP's? The keep adding something about "The Savior Returning". It's NN, but they provided the source at WWE (of that weird video that's been airing for a few weeks) and I don't want to take the chance of reverting a second time since it's not clear vandalism. I am thinking of asking again for it to be semi-protected at WP:RFP but am unsure of what to say. TJ Spyke 22:12, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I can do that. This whole Jericho thing is becoming quite annoying. I have the article on my watchlist, I'll revert those edits if I see them. Gavyn Sykes 00:20, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WWE Judgment Day

See WP:PW. Apparently Ticketmaster has Judgment Day 2008 info (odd since WWE has not officially announced the event yet), including the city and arena. Feel free to express your opinion. TJ Spyke 01:47, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Move linking

I'm not sure. Could be glitches (it's happened to me sometimes), it could be somebody messed up the section link and so it only takes you to the top of the page. TJ Spyke 22:17, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

TNA Genesis

I don't know what to do, Nash did say Hall is Sting's partner. I just checked the iMPACT spoilers (since TNA tapes 2 weeks at a time, so they already taped next weeks episode), and Hall says he is not Sting's partner and Sting said Angle would find out at Genesis [1] who his partner is. What do you think? Technically Sting has not said Hall is his partner and TNA's site still has "?" listed (even though they updated with the other matches announced tonight). TJ Spyke 04:46, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, could you help out at Survivor Series 2007? There are people ignoring the warnings there and adding spoilers from SmackDown. TJ Spyke 04:55, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re

OK. Instead of reporting it to WP:ANI, I've told trusted admin Yamla (who is currently online) about it, so she can deal with it. Davnel03 20:13, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They've been warned - as they have violated WP:3RR. Davnel03 20:14, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And it was Shad. I suggest you'd take a look at the "Who I'd Like To Meet section". Davnel03 20:27, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good work so far! I wouldn't cover every single feud, because some feuds didn't have a big buildup (Khali/Kane, Womens title, US title), but I would cover the other feuds. With it being a "WrestleMania page", it deserves to have at least five storylines covered in depth, some of which need to be covered in a bit more depth than what they currently are. If you wish, I could clean-up the Background section and add WWE.com references if you wish. I really don't mind doing that if you wish. Thanks, Davnel03 18:15, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll start cleaning it up now with references added. Davnel03 18:25, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I won't be finished with the Background section till at least the weekend - my laptops broken down. :( My other computer is deadly slow, so it's gonna take a while for me to do the "Background" section. You can start on the "Event" section if you wish. Davnel03 22:15, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about the delay, I've got a ton of things outside of Wiki to deal with, plus I have an exam on Monday, so it won't be complete till next weekend. You might as well start the "Event" section - I really don't mind if you do. I'll try and get the "Background" done by next weekend, but I cannot say anything definite. Davnel03 17:48, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Things outside of Wiki have got in the way, and will probably be unable to carry on with it. I'll probably do a bit here and there, but won't be able to do loads. Davnel03 10:16, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kelly Kelly and Layla El

i have moved them back to other on-air talent, if they continue to wrestle then fine move them back but they have only competed once on ecw twice in total so until then please leave them there.Skitzo 22:59, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ah ok, i must of misread the differences thing from your last revert as they were in female wreslters, personally even if they do keep wrestling i dont think we should move them as there is only 2 of them on the ecw roster, but i wouldn't mind if they were.Skitzo 23:22, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From the Editor

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday.

This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement.

That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page.

Please

Don't revert "per BMG". While I appreciate that you agree with my reasoning. I would ask that you revert per that reasoning in your edit summaries, rather than per me. I'd also should probably mention I've changed my stance on the whole spoilers thing based on Lid's comments over at WPT:PW. Thanks. Regards, Bmg916Speak 17:23, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with that. But I also think what Lid said about using the dirt sheets was true. WON is a credible wrestling newsletter (for the most part), and they post spoilers Bmg916Speak 17:48, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Survivor Series 2007

WWE.com has had a history of spelling mistakes dating back to its inception.

Every single site I have visited spells Runjin Singh as 'Runjin' as do the rare on screen captions.

With regards to the times, with the exception of the Elimination Tag match I am absolutely sure of the timings. Sentinel618 (talk) 22:52, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
