The film was critically and commercially successful,[7] her performance was especially applauded.[8] This was followed by another acclaimed performance in Woh Lamhe (2006).[9] Kangana later starred in the hit film Life In A... Metro as a confused girl who is looking for a real love and in Shakalaka Boom Boom (2007) as an aspiring singer. Kangana was announced as heroine of Jeeva's forthcoming Tamil venture, Dhaam Dhoom on February 19, 2007.
