The 2008 Summer Olympics medal count is a list of National Olympic Committees ranked by the number of medals won during the 2008 Summer Olympics, held in Beijing, People's Republic of China, from August 8 to August 24, 2008. Approximately 10,500 athletes are expected to participate in 302 events in 28 sports.[1]
