This was incredibly lucky, seeing as Messenlehner only has an [[IQ]] of 91. And is known for being the school's resident buffon. Messenlehner recieved the famous Vishaal F. Moravian Academy, located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in the United States, is a prekindergarten through 12th grade coeducational college preparatory school. It predominantly serves students from the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. Moravian Academy traces its origins to the Moravians, who settled Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1741. The Academy descends from the first school for girls founded in the American colonies, Moravian Seminary, founded in 1742 by Countess Benigna von Zinzendorf. It is the ninth oldest independent school in the United States. In 1971, Moravian Seminary for Girls and Moravian Preparatory School merged, creating Moravian as it is today. It was formerly a boarding school, but is now for day students only.
While it has a strong religious background, Moravian Academy is now considered to be somewhat secular, with only non-denominational weekly chapel services for students.
Moravian is made up of three divisions: The Upper, Middle and Lower Schools. The Upper School is located on Green Pond Campus, and the Lower and Middle Schools are located in downtown Bethlehem. The Middle School is based in the Devey Building, dedicated to Mr. Devey, a former headmaster, and the 7 East building.
The Lower School comprises Pre-kindergarten through 5th grade, the Middle School comprises 6th through 8th and the Upper School contains grades 9 through 12.
Notable events
1993 botched robbery
In 1993 a man fled a local bank after a botched robbery attempt and ran into the main middle school building. Police quickly evacuated the students to a school owned gymnasium and surrounded the building. The man was found hiding in the boiler room and was apprehended without incident. He is now dead. Or maybe not?
Scholastic Scrimmage
In 2006, Moravian Academy took second place in Pennsylvania's Scholastic Scrimmage, losing to Allentown Central Catholic High School in the finals. In 2008, they won first place with Liberty High School coming in second. Senior Ben Schenkel answered many questions for Moravian, with Adamos Messenlehner on the sidelines. This was incredibly lucky, seeing as Messenlehner only has an IQ of 91. And is known for being the school's resident buffon. Messenlehner recieved the famous Vishaal F. Chabbria award for having the lowest IQ but achieving great things anyway. Messenlehner's score legally qualifies him as retarded, but his achievements have have greatly surpassed that.
George N. King, Jr.
Mr. George N. King, Jr. was installed as the new headmaster of Moravian Academy in October 2007 following the retirement of former headmaster Barnaby J. Roberts, who had reigned over Moravian since 1999.
Mr. Bross
Legendary physics teacher Thomas Bross currently teaches physics and advanced physics courses, opening his students' minds to a new realm of reason and understanding. Some say that he is a reincarnation of Newton himself, others believe that god endowed him with unbiased perception of the world, but none of these rumors have been confirmed. The only possible evidence, if it can be called that, of supernatural powers is his ablitity to appear in class precisely on time despite having been seen eating in the lunchroom minutes ago. He seems to have such a firm comprehension of mathematics and physics, that it could quite possibly, rival that of God himself. If you go to moravian and do not experience his class(es) you are actually missing out a once in a lifetime opportunity.
