Daybreak by Joe Maktima, a member of the Hopi/Laguna Pueblo tribe, was one of the artworks featured in Artrain's 2007 traveling exhibition Native Views.

Criteria for inclusion is that the artist be of verifiable Native American descent as a tribal member. "Native American" is defined as meeting the requirements established by either state or federal regulations, and meeting the eligibility requirements for artist membership in the Indian Arts and Crafts Association. This does not include non-Native American artists using Native American themes, or tribes not recognized by state and federal governments where documented verifiability is absent.
