Someone want to mention "Live your life" takes its opening and rhythm from "Dragosta Din Tei" by O Zone (and if you call it the 'numa numa' song, you're wrong and know nothing about it)? -Anonymous —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.84.203.141 (talk) 21:08, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In your article on "Death of T.I.'s friend and assistant" you say that Young Dro preformed at Bogarts...while he may have preformed at that after party at club ritz, it was actually Young Joc that preformed at Bogarts and not Young Dro and the chase and shooting happened on I-71 Southbound. Also I was at this event so I believe it was actually on May 6th - JMG

Personal info section

I moved several sections dealing with T.I's personal life to the talk page since it should be sourced more strictly to WP:BLP, and it was difficult to understand the info and how it was sourced. Flowanda | Talk 11:26, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So you just removed the incredibly important information relating to his possible incarceration for a number of years because you didnt fully understand it? Cardigan3000 (talk) 04:32, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is the real, corroborated information about early life? Yet another rapper pretending to be a gangster like all the rest? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.144.236.150 (talk) 12:22, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life

The article states TI is a philanthropist. Where is the source for that? To be considered a "philanthropist" you need to have a charitable objective and be donating over a long time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.4.70.236 (talk) 18:06, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Family

T.I. has been datin Briana Holloway of Dawson, Ga 1 year. T.I. and Tiny from exscape have 2 sons together the older named Clifford Harris III, a.k.a. 'King'and the younger one being Major Philant Harris. They were expecting a daughter (Llayah Amour) to be born in June 2007, but she was stillborn late night on March 21, 2007. Tiny also has another daughter, Zonnique, that T.I. has custody of. He has 3 other children: Messiah Ya'Majesty Harris (son), Domani Uriah Harris (son), and Deyjah Imani Harris (daughter). T.I. and Tiny ended their longterm relationship on March 18, 2007,[1] however, it appears the couple has reconciled yet again. T.I. was sitting next to Tiny at the 2007 BET Awards, and then leaned over to kiss her just before he accepted his award for Best Hip-Hop artist. On January 4, 2008, it was confirmed that they are expecting their second child together[2]. T.I.'s nephew Tim Williams started to act like T.I.P. when Tim got caught selling illegal and stolen items. T.I. told Tim to not follow his friends and be yourself. Five weeks later Tim was suppose to be going to jail for possesion of acohol and weed in school. Tim vowed to turn his life around, and not worry about anybody except for himself. Tim has a dream to be come a rapper along side T.I., and represent BankHead to the fullest. Tim's closest friend Jaquan Williams was born in the same neighboorhood, hospital, as Tim. T.I. is proud that Tim is acting like himself and not someone else.

T.I.' s daughter, Deyjah is not with his ex-girlfriend Lashon Dixon. He stated on the Tyra Banks show that he had 6 children ages (at the time) were 12, 8, 7, 7, 3 and 4 months. He stated that the two seven year olds are not twins therefore they could not have the same mother.

Criminal

T.I. was on probation stemming from a 1998 conviction for violating a state controlled substances act and for giving false information. After being released on probation, he earned a litany of probation violations in several counties around Georgia for offenses ranging from possession of a firearm to possession of marijuana.[3]

In 2006, after appearing in an Atlanta court on (May 10) and having charges that he threatened a man outside a strip club last year dropped for lack of evidence, T.I. was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant from Florida. Due to the fact that T.I. did not complete the required number of community service hours he was sentenced to serve for a 2003 assault against a female sheriff deputy at University Mall in Tampa. T.I. was detained by several mall ecurity officers working for IPC International Corporation at the time of the incident. According to WBS-TV Atlanta, the rapper’s attorney has said that the problem was nothing more than a “technical matter” between Georgia and Florida. The confusion arose because T.I. was also sentenced to community service in Georgia for driving with a suspended license, for which he did complete 75 hours of community service in his home state. The rapper was released on bail shortly after being arrested, and was expected to surrender to Florida state authorities next week to resolve the matter.[4]

On October 13 2007, federal authorities arrested T.I. four hours before the BET Hip-Hop Awards. He was charged with two felonies — possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. The arrest was made in the parking lot of a downtown shopping center, which a witness identified as the Walgreens drug store at the corner of North and Piedmont avenues. Harris was arrested after allegedly trying to purchase the guns from a "cooperating witness" with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. According to federal officials, the witness had been cooperating with authorities since Wednesday, when he was arrested on charges of trying to purchase guns from a federal agent. The witness has been working as Harris' bodyguard since July, authorities said.[5] [6]

T.I. walked out the courthouse in downtown Atlanta on October 26 after posting a $3 million bond, $2 million in cash and $1 million in equity on property he owns. The rapper must remain at home except for medical appointments and court appearances. The only people allowed to live with him are his girlfriend and children. Visitors must be approved by the court. More than sixty supporters, family members, friends and fans stood outside the federal courtroom during the hearing[7].

T.I.'s suppression hearing was originally stated for January 3, 2008, however, U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman pushed back the suppression hearing until February 19th[8].

T.I. pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of machine guns and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and will receive a sentence that includes prison time after he completes a period of community service. In the year that he is awaiting sentencing, he must complete at least 1,000 hours of a total 1,500 hours of community service, talking to youth groups about the pitfalls of guns, gangs and drugs. He pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of machine guns and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. They reduced his sentence from 10 years to 1 year because he snitched on Baby D who is doing FED charges on drugs conspiracy in Ohio.

Officials also said after completing the community service he will be sentenced to serve about 12 months in prison. His prison time could be increased or reduced, depending on his fulfillment of the terms of the deal and good behavior, they said. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Markymark319 (talkcontribs) 15:30, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Death of T.I.'s friend and assistant

In the early hours of May 4 2006, T.I. and his entourage were involved in a gunfight after leaving a concert after-party at the Club Ritz, a nightclub in Cincinnati, Ohio[9] that has a history of problems with the law. Four members of T.I.'s entourage were shot in the altercation. T.I.'s personal assistant Philant Johnson was killed and Janice Gillespie was seriously wounded by the gunfire.[10] It is believed that the altercation began at the Ritz when members of T.I.'s entourage threw money into the crowd, angering male audience members.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the feud began at the city's Club Ritz during an after-party for the Atlanta rapper and Yung Joc -- who performed earlier that evening at the club Bogart's -- and moved outside, where shots were fired into two vans transporting T.I.'s crew just after three o'clock.

"[The money] was supposed to be for the ladies", one witness said. "But it was hitting guys in the face, and they were like, 'We had money before, so why are you throwing money at us?'"

When the situation grew tense, T.I. reportedly told his group to head out. A witness outside told the Enquirer that one shot -- believed to be unrelated to the ensuing gun battle -- was fired in the parking lot and at least four people followed the vans in a large vehicle.

Copyright violation

A section on T.I.'s recent legal issues has been added by at least two different users. Unfortunately, both additions were copyright violations. Note that it is not acceptable to copy and paste text from another source, even if you change the occasional word (or even a lot of the words). At least, not unless that source releases the text under the GFDL, and you make note of the author. Copyright violations are very serious matters, so please be extremely careful before adding this section back to the article. There's no doubt the section belongs here, but we cannot accept copyright violations. --Yamla (talk) 21:47, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Criminal??

There is no longer an area of this article called "Criminal History", it has been changed to a more politically correct term of "Legal Issues." I have a huge problem with this section that wikipedia will not allow to be edited by the general public. It says:

T.I. was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant from Florida. The warrant claimed that T.I. did not complete the required number of community service hours he was sentenced for a 2003 assault of a female sheriff deputy at University Mall in Tampa. T.I. was detained by several mall Security Guards at the time of the incident, among them, Jason Phillips (founder of Certified Protective Services), Larry Warner (founder of Tactical Response Services), and Arturo Ortiz, now a security manager in Florida.

Here it is talking about his legal issues, but fails to mention his arrest for hitting a deputy until after it says he was arrested for failing to complete his community service. It says several mall security guards detained him at the time of the incident, is this the time of the incident where he assaulted the deputy or when he failed to complete community service hours. Furthermore, it list the private individuals names and companies unrelated to the issue at hand, and this information is not relevant to the article.

It should be noted that the source used to verify T.I.'s legal consequences are not the reliable. A better source would most likely be his own website where he states that he must complete 1500 hours of community service. Veda13 (talk) 07:17, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"T.I.'s night club, Club Crucial, where he and V-103 announcer Greg Street will give away 200 bicycles to neighborhood children in the Boys and Girls Club.[38]" is not a complete sentence. Mixtapes

I think T.I.'s official mixtapes such as In Da Streets Vol. 1 - 3, Gangsta Grillz: Down With THe King and Gangsta Grillz: The Leak should be added to his discography on the MAIN page. As well as his compolations: P$C's 25 to Life, Grand Hustle Presents: In da Streets, Vol. 4, and his A King Of Oneself EP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.224.121.2 (talk) 08:20, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
