Hayley Nichole Williams (born December 27, 1988 in Meridian, Mississippi) is an American rock singer and songwriter.[1] She is the lead vocalist of the rock band Paramore, and worked on a small Christian Music project prior to any work with Paramore.
Biography
In 2002 at the age of 13, Hayley moved to Franklin, Tennessee where she met fellow band members Josh and Zac Farro in school.[2][3] Shortly after arriving, she began taking vocal lessons with Brett Manning. While still in school she tried out for a local funk cover band called The Factory, where she met Jeremy Davis. After The Factory disbanded, Hayley and Jeremy began writing songs with the Farro brothers and became Paramore. In 2005, John Janick, founder of record label Fueled by Ramen, licked a contract with them. Hayley commented about the signing, saying, "Fueled By Ramen has been amazing to us. So many kids started checking us out because our name is on their roster. It’s like a big family; we all share such a massive unit of fans."[4] She has also done guest vocals on 'Then Came to Kill' by the Chariot, 'Keep Dreaming Upside Down' by October Fall, 'Fallen' by Death in the Park, 'The Church Channel' and 'Plea' by Say Anything, and appeared in the music video for 'Kiss Me' by New Found Glory.
Paramore
Paramore was created in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004. Consisting of Hayley Williams as lead singer and keyboard, Josh Farro as lead Guitar and back up vocals, Taylor York with the rhythm guitar, Jeremy Davis with the bass guitar and Zac Farro on the drums. Prior to forming Paramore, however, Williams and bassist Jeremy Davis took part in a funk cover band called The Factory, while the Farro brothers had practiced together after school.[5] The other members of what was soon to be Paramore had been "edgy about the whole female thing" of having Williams as vocalist, but because they were really good friends she started writing for them and eventually became a member.[6]. The band has released two albums, All We Know Is Falling and Riot!. They also released an album from one of their shows on tour. This album was called The Final Riot!.Also Miss Hayley was in the cutting edge 3 as olympic pair #3.
Personal life
She is friends with the Cyrus family, with whom she grew up.
