Barbie stars as Corrine, a seventeen year-old country girl who dreams of becoming a Musketeer, one of the protectors of the royal family like her father D'Artagnan. There is just one problem: there has never been a female Musketeer before, but that isn't going to stop Corrine. While training in the barn, her mother gives her a letter introducing her to Monsieur Treville, the head of the Musketeers. In search of her dream, Corrine travels to Paris the next day with her cat Miette, her father's horse Alexander and the letter for Monsieur Treville. When she arrives, she sees four Musketeers fencing in the street and asks to join in the challenge, but everyone laughs at her because she is a girl until she shows her gymnastic skills, only to be humiliated by a grumpy old dog Brutus, who makes off with her letter. She chases after him to Monsieur Treville's office and discovers that Brutus belongs to the Regent Phillipe, the cousin of Prince Louis. Corrine meets Monsieur Treville and tells him that she is the daughter of D'Artagnan and that she wishes to follow in her father's footsteps. But Monsieur Treville tells Corrine that she is not ready to become a Musketeer and she sadly leaves.

However, a grumpy old dog makes off with her letter and while she chases after him, she is unsuccessful in getting it back.

Along the way, she meets three other girls - Viveca a fashionista, Aramina a dancer and Renée an violinist. All four girls are soon employed as maids at the royal palace, where they all realize they share the same wish to become a Musketeer to save Rapunzel from Tower.
However, Corrine and Miette encounter Brutus in the street again and he chases Miette. Corrine chases after them and along the way, she literally bumps into three other girls - Viveca a fashionista, Aramina a dancer and Renée a violinist. Miette leads Corrine to the Royal Palace into the kitchen, where she encounters Madame de Bosse, the head of the Palace maids. A maid has just been fired so Madame de Bosse offers Corrine a job, which she accepts. Madame de Bosse introduces her to her three co-workers who, to Corrine's embarassment, turn out to be Viveca, Aramina and Renée. The three girls are still angry at Corrine and make her scrub the ballroom floor alone, but they later offer her and Miette hospitality with them and put their differences behind them. The next day while the girls are working on the stairs, Prince Louis encounters them while testing a flying contraception he has invented and falls in love with Corrine. But while Louis is talking to Phillipe, the crystal chandilier above them suddenly falls and almost hits Louis, who dives out of the way just in time. As the glass scatters everywhere, Corrine, Viveca, Aramina and Renée use expert skills to dodge them. It is then that all four girls realize they share the same wish to become a Musketeer. While cleaning up the broken remains of the chandilier, Corrine finds a ruby stone that isn't part of the chandilier and realises that the rope holding it in place was cut.

When a wise old woman notices their fencing and athletic abilities, she takes them to a hidden chamber in the palace where she helps them train and develop their unique talents. However, Corrine and her friends soon discover a plot to get rid of Rapunzel at a royal masquerade ball and they put her in tower and Prince Louis to call Rapunzel and Madame Sabrina to cut her hairrealize that it's up to them to save him.
A wise old maid Helene notices the girls' fencing and athletic abilities, so she takes them through a secret passageway to a hidden chamber in the Palace that used to be the Musketeers' old training area. Helene shows that she has the same skills as them, shows them many weapons including swords, ribbons, fans and bows and arrows. The girls begin their training and develop their unique talents to become Musketeers. However, Corrine's suspicions about the chandilier's rope being cut are correct because Philippe is ploting against Prince Louis in order to take the throne and orders his henchman Bertram to sabotage Louis' hot-air-balloon. Bertram carries out orders by cutting the ropes holding the balloon down while Louis is testing it; the knife he uses has a ruby stone matching the one Corrine found after the chandilier fell. When Louis boards the balloon, a strong gust of wind blows and the ropes holding the balloon down snap. Louis falls overboard and gets his foot caught in the ladder, leaving him hanging upside-down as the balloon floats away. Luckily, Corrine sees this while she is cleaning a window and uses her skills to jump into the balloon and save Louis. As Corrine and Louis talk, they discover they have quite a lot in common because they both believe in pursuing their dreams. But when Louis asks Corrine what her dream is and she tells him that she wishes to be a Musketeer, she is hurt when he says what everyone else does; that girls can't be Musketeers. When the balloon lands, Corrine storms off and Philippe has been watching through a telescope. Angry that his plan failed, he decides that he will have to carry out his plan himself. Corrine realises that there must be a plot against the Prince and rushes to tell Viveca, Aramina, Renée and Helene. Helene, however, explains that they will need proof of this plot before they can tell anyone. But later that night, the girls see Bertram and his henchmen in the streets with real swords disguised as the fake ones that will be used at a Royal Masquerade Ball for the Prince's traditional sword dance. corrine also notices Bertram's knife and realises it was the one that cut the ropes of the chandilier and the hot-air-balloon. The girls rush back to the Palace and tell Monsieur Treville and Philippe of what they saw, but no one believes them and they lose their jobs and are banned from the Palace.

The main line in this story is "All for one & and one for all" and Rapunzel married.
Back in their room, Corrine, Viveca, Aramina and Renée realize that it's up to them to save the Prince if no one else will. They devise a plan to sneak into the Palace on the night of the ball to protect Louis and instantly get to work; Viveca makes beautiful ball gowns for all four of them, Aramina teaches them how to dance and Renée makes them new weapons. On the night of the ball, the girls sneak into the Palace using the secret passageways and enter the ball room under false names and masks. Prince Louis arrives and when it's time for the sword dance, he picks Corrine to be his partner, unaware who she is due to her mask. However, Philippe arrives in disguise, armed with a real sword and the girls suss out who he is. Aramina dances with him, until he excuses himself and gives the signal to start the fireworks. The fireworks are a perfect distraction for Philippe to get Louis, but Corrine sees him draw his sword and kicks it away from him. Philippe alerts everyone that Corrine has a real sword, but Corrine, Viveca, Aramina and Renée change into their fighting dresses and reveal their weapons; Corrine a sword, Viveca two ribbons, Aramina two fans and Renée a necklace. The fight begins and even Miette and Helene help out, while Louis is taken to the passageway where Philippe is waiting for him. Philippe takes off his mask, brings Louis upstairs and draws his sword. Louis realises that his cousin has been trying kill him and flees, with Philippe chasing him. When Corrine, Viveca, Aramina and Renée realise that Louis is nowhere to be seen, they realise where he has been taken when they see his mask beside the passageway entrance. Distracting Philippe's men with Viveca's perfume, they run into the passageway and find Monsieur Treville and his men tied up and gagged. While Viveca, Aramina and Renée release them, Corrine searches for Louis and follows him to the roof, where Philippe has him trapped. Luckily, Corrine intervenes, fights Philippe and saves Louis. Philippe and Bertram are arrested for treason and driven away from the Palace.

Louis asks for the four girls to be reveal their identities and when they remove their masks, he is amazed to see that Corrine is his rescuer. However, Madame de Bosse states that the girls are banned from the Palace and Louis decides that they don't belong in the Palace, but with the Musketeers. After Louis is crowned King, he rewards the girls for their bravery by making them Musketeers. Helene is also made head of the Palace maids and Madame de Bosse is made a maid. Corrine meets her mother again, who tells her how proud she is that she has fulfilled her dream. Louis comes forward and asks Corrine for another balloon ride but before she can say yes, Monsieur Treville informs the girls that there is a plot against the King that they must attend to so Corrine tells Louis the balloon ride will have to wait. Corrine, Viveca, Aramina and Renée hope on their horses and ride off into the sunset with their swords at the ready.
