"Net and Mail"

There seems to be confusion here. Netto is Lan's name in Japan. As you probably know, that in Japan, Net is pronounced Netto. The Idea that since he is called Netto, his name must be Net doesn't appy. They named him Netto, from this play on words. It would be like saying Saito's real name is "Site"

Now with Mail. Her name is actually Meiru. They didn't name her "Mail", they named for how it was pronounced, "Meiru". I hope I'm making sense.

PET

• The PETs used in the first and second video games were ignored in the anime (though the first piece of promotional artwork for the anime features Lan holding one of them). Instead, a new PET (the "Plug-In PET") was designed for the anime (and later incorporated into the third game). The next PET, the Advanced PET, was used in Axess and the fourth game, and flashbacks in the storyline imply that the Advanced PET was always the first PET and that the Plug-In PET never existed (possibly due to copyright issues since the Plug-In PET toys were produced by a different company - Bandai - than all future PETs). Midway through Axess, Lan also acquires the Advanced PET II model, which appeared in the Japan-exclusive Rockman EXE 4.5 video-game. These PETs have flip-open designs, and all plug-in ports have been replaced with infrared sensors, allowing Navis to jack in via lasers. The PET used in Stream and the fifth game is called the Progress PET (and sometimes referred to by the characters as the "PET III"). This PET uses a holographic touch screen to view battles in the cyberworld. Finally, Beast and the sixth game feature the Link PET, and Beast+ gives Lan a recolored, upgraded version of the Link PET. This PET retains the holographic screen technology of the former model, and also introduces a stylus for more interactivity. Navis can also project themselves as holograms in the real world within the vicinity of their PETs, allowing for more interaction with their operators. Lan wears the PET on his bicep with an arm-strap, much like iPods.

Manga Reference

I was flipping through Vol. 3 of the NT Warrior manga today when I spotted a reference. Basically, MegaMan says "I am the very model of a prehistoric netnavi." This is a reference to the song "I am the very model of a modern major general" from "Pirates of Penzance." I'd put this in the Wiki, but there's not really a decent-sized section for the manga to be including things like this. Opinions?

Onigiri and Shotgun

I just saw the recent article that there's mention of the onigiri. I watched the episode that featured Dave and Sal. The scene where Lan was caught cheating the others of having cupcakes. This is proof that there are changes from the Japanese version. Also, the blaster was named in the show despite it's called shotgun in the video games. Therefore, I think it should be placed in the appropiate position for sure. Can someone put it back, it's relevant.

• There is no need to have further "proof" of the changes from the original version; it's a fact that the series underwent changes in being dubbed in English. Episode-specific edits (such as the edit of onigiri) and listing changes in BattleChip names are unencyclopedic in the context of this article (which approaches the material from an overview). --Benten 23:19, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Stop removing all of the images

Just what it says on the tin. You guys keep removing everything instead of adding the required referals or adding other images to replace the removed ones.

2 teams?!?

I'm watching the fansubs right now, and no one seems to realize (or at least on the Wikipedia page) that there are "teams" for each Cyberbeast. (Of course, I don't understand Japanese, but the subtitles seem to indicate that there are 2 teams, called the "Greigas" [Gregars] and the "Falzers" [Falzars].)

Of course, I might be mistaken, and this information might already be on there. But if it isn't, I'd just like to know how I should mesh it into the existing paragraph. ZtObOr 09:46, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
