Project Cafe (Colloquially called Wii 2, Wii HD, or Super Wii) is rumoured to be the codename for Nintendo's upcoming eighth generation video game console and successor to the Wii.[1] Claims have been made that the new machine is significantly more powerful than the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.[2] Claims have also been made about a new controller, which will apparently feature dual analog sticks, a standard d-pad and trigger buttons. The functionality of the new controller has been compared to a Nintendo GameCube controller. It has been claimed that the new controller for the console features a 6" HD touchscreen, and the controller will allow players to stream entire games to the controller from the console.[1]

Nintendo has not commented on these claims, saying only that ``Nintendo does not comment on rumors or speculation.[3]
