The album has been certified Platinum by the RIAA in the U.S. with sales of over 1,200,000 copies and over 2,000,000 worldwide, And the music online magazine Pitchfork Media placed Tha Carter II at number 178 on their list of top 200 albums of the 2000s.[1]
