editing of r1100gs 88.217.89.163 now with account

Hi,

I am new to wikipedia as an editor, so be polite, please. I hope this is the right way to contact you. I edited the r1100gs side an put an link to my page which I set up for finding my motorcycle which was stolen. I do not think I am promoting anything, when posting a link to my external side, because promotion has a financial purpose, and it is clearly not. But I am not sure about it. Can you post some link to rules? Does opening a side for stolen motorcycles and a link there make any sense in terms of wikipedia?

Anyway if you see it on the web, mail me!

Thanks in advance and for taking the time to help me!

See Wikipedia:External links: "External links in an article can be helpful to the reader, but they should be kept minimal, meritable, and directly relevant to the article." A link to your site helps you, but is not helpful to the reader. And it isn't directly relevant, since it adds no insight about the subject of the article. WP:ELNO lists specifics, such as #4, #11 and #13. There aren't any articles on Wikipedia where a link to your site would be appropriate. Your best bet would be to speak with local police and theft experts, rather than trying for worldwide Internet coverage. Readers in Alaska and Australia and Argentina aren't going to help and it just wastes their time. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 16:52, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I hope you get back in. A fresh start is a good thing. I look forward to cooperating/collaborating with you. --Biker Biker (talk) 13:15, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have started a new, real user id. I am not going full bore, so to speak, until Tedder approves me. Jeffrey M Dean (talk) 22:52, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. If restored, I will be a good boy. I really do not understand the process for "rehabilitation." I hope it becomes clear. Whoami 24 (talk) 13:30, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're no "biker", only a Motorcyclist...

Why bitch about the stuff I wrote on the unusability of Switch-mode NST'S in Tesla coils when you had no qualms about me reediting the "greater efficiency" rot someone else wrote? He had no: "erifiable proof" , either. (He couldn't prove it as it is bunk, but that's beside the point.)

How do You know; you didn't fix switching power supplies 8 years, make/fix neon, or ever build a tesla coil, anyway?68.231.184.217 (talk) 22:15, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BMW R68

I would like to start a BMW R68 Wiki page. It was the first 100 MPH BMW motorcycle, and the rarest postwar model. Would you object? If not, would you care to support it? Jeffrey M Dean (talk) 16:58, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

go for it --Biker Biker (talk) 17:31, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jeff Dean

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is "Jeff Dean returning to edit: editing restrictions".Thank you. tedder (talk) 03:30, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Hi,

I created this account under the advised of another admin, who suggested for impartiality I create a personal account and not a account with the forums name!!!.

Now you state this is spamming I have just copied the same format as seen on Honda Civic( External sites) which is already published!!! ... which now is magically edited to substantiate your stance..

Now how is that any deviation for the standard format? Why was this not made clear by the first admin for the same?

I find it very hypocritical.

I warned you for spamming because you were pushing your web forum - that is never acceptable (see WP:ELNO). I undid the addition of multiple links because they simply aren't necessary. Just because other stuff exists doesn't mean it is right. However, I appreciate your drawing the Civic article to my attention as I have fixed that too. --Biker Biker (talk) 16:03, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Fair enough I cant argue with that.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peppyster (talkcontribs) 17:51, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ZX-10R edits

Why did you remove the performance specifications? You noted that they weren't cited, but they were from cycle world magazine as referenced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.12.192.254 (talk) 19:42, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't see the cycleworld reference. I will go back and check. --Biker Biker (talk) 19:52, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
