Teresa Giudice (born Teresa Gorga on May 18, 1972) is an American television personality, best known for starring in The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Besides appearing on the show, Giudice has written three New York Times best-selling cookbooks and was featured on Donald Trump's The Celebrity Apprentice. She currently resides in Towaco, New Jersey with her husband and four daughters.

Early life

Her father, Giacinto Gorga, and mother, Antonia Gorga, immigrated from Sala Consilina, Italy and raised Teresa and her brother Giuseppe, also known as Joe, in an Italian Catholic home in Paterson, New Jersey.

Career

She graduated from Berkeley College with a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management and then went on to work as an associate buyer for Macy's in New York. She also worked in the fashion industry in New York, specifically as a contributor for Vogue magazine.

Aside from appearing as one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, where she became infamous for table-flipping incident towards the end of the first season, Giudice is also a committee member for co-star Dina Manzo's charity, Project Ladybug. In 2012, she joined the cast of the reality competition "Celebrity Apprentice". She was fired in the 12th episode, which aired May 6, 2012, ultimately raising $70,000 for her selected charity, The NephCure Foundation.

Personal life

Teresa met her husband of more than 10 years, Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, in high school. She has 4 daughters with him: Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana.
