"New Day" is a song by American hip hop recording artist 50 Cent, released July 27, 2012, as the lead single from his upcoming fifth studio album Street King Immortal (2012).[1] The song, produced by Eminem and Dr.Dre, features vocals from Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys.[2][3][4]

Background

The song was originally recorded by Alicia Keys, who released her own version of "New Day" online on 28 June 2012, and she previewed the song earlier in the day.[5] The single was announced during an interview with Digital Spy, uploaded on July 17, 2012,[6] with the cover art being unveiled that same day.[1] The single was premiered with DJ Camilo on New York City radio station Hot 97 and then later on Thisis50.[7] The song later was released on iTunes for purchase as digital single on July 30, 2012.
