The Voice UK is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The show will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates on BBC One. The second series started on 30 March 2013.[1] On 13 November 2012, it was confirmed that all four coaches from last year will return.[2] The shows Blind Auditions will move to MediaCityUK in Salford, Manchester.[2] It was also confirmed that the live show format will be tweaked for this series,[3] which include the cut back from six live shows in the first series to only three live shows, and also the pre-recorded results show will also be dropped with the results given on the same night as the performances.[4] On 28 February 2013 four ten second teaser trailers were posted to the BBC's Voice UK Website and Youtube account.[5]

Blind auditions

The blind auditions began in Salford, Manchester on 14 December 2012 at MediaCityUK after moving from BBC Television Centre in London. Each coach has the length of the artists' performance to decide if they want that artist on their team. Should two or more coaches want the same artist, then the artist gets to choose their coach. Once the coaches have picked their team, they are to pit them against each other in the ultimate sing off; the battles.[6]
