Give me time to work on this
This is on my to do list of articles to clean up, please give me time to get to it...the list is long...but I know I'll be able to source it and add to it. Theophilus75 05:34, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Memories of The Brute
The Brute came across as a mindless villain when I first saw him on All-Star Wrestling in 1971. He would punctuate his sentences with high-pitched giggles. According to Ron Morrier, he was previously called "El Brute." Other wrestlers liked to threaten him ("I'm gonna get you, peabrain!" -- John Quinn; "Brute, I'm going to drop you, and how!" -- Sean Regan). There was quite a rivalry between The Brute and Regan.
A friend worked as an usher at Memorial Arena in Victoria from 1972 to 1974; according to him, The Brute was a perfect gentleman outside the ring. Word of that may have spread; over time, he downplayed his mindless act and became more of a hammy antagonist -- entertaining at interviews and tough in the ring.Tony 08:56, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Bugsy McGraw
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Bugsy McGraw's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "OWOW":
- From Dusty Rhodes (wrestler): "OWOW profile".
- From Mick Foley: "Mick Foley's profile". Online World of Wrestling. Retrieved 2008-04-14.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 09:30, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
