O Benfica is the weekly newspaper of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Founded on 28 November 1943, it is the oldest sports and weekly newspaper in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe. It is printed on every Wednesday and its content is mostly based on interviews, overviews at different sports of the club and opinion texts. By 2005 it had close to 10,000 sales per week.[1]
