Hi, Jim. No questions. But let's be clear here, you didn't revert my change because it was unconstructive. You did it because I lost my temper with the illiterates who wrote the CeeLo Green article and used a swear word in my edit summary. So you reverted the text back to the broken English, unencyclopedic sounding, mess of a sentence that has been there for months. And it will continue to be there months from now, because after reverting it to get that terribly naughty word out of the edit history, you didn't fix the sentence yourself. Do you seriously think this: |
|||
"He has expressed that, at a number of occasions, he deeply regrets that wrongful behaviour in those days and years. He still feels deeply grieved by the loss of his two parents, whom he both continuously misses, also during these times of having a successful career." |
|||
Belongs in an encyclopedia? All you would need to add is a comment about how sad his eyes looked while he said it and you would have some Grade A CeeLo Green fan fiction. |
|||
But, fine. I'll leave it alone. Good job, buddy. Grab yourself a Barnstar out of the petty cash drawer before you log off tonight. [[Special:Contributions/66.27.174.138|66.27.174.138]] ([[User talk:66.27.174.138|talk]]) 05:39, 8 September 2014 (UTC) |

Revert the article on Jekyll Island
back to the summaries included. Two edits ago. I'm confused as to why a plot summary of a 1000-page book is considered non-constructive; particularly since I came here specifically looking for one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.124.176.137 (talk • contribs) 04:53, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

Jim1138,
I have temporarily removed the text and I am presently reorganizing it in MS word because it is easier for me to do so. I will re-introduce it in few hours as soon as I am done...that is if you stop undoing my work...You can verify tomorrow and if the article is not improved, organizationally and content wise, you can then undo what I have done. But for now, please let me work! — Preceding unsigned comment added by SonOfNiger (talk • contribs) 01:30, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi Jim, you recently undid an edit of mine regarding an addition to the antifoul paints page, your issue was with a lack of citations. As I happen to work for one of the companies that I didn't name (remaining neutral!) I know that there aren't really any completely independent sources of information regarding effectiveness of the technology, bar a few magazine reviews (if these could be called impartial is again debatable!) and the various companies own websites. Would these magazines be an acceptable citation ?
I am not aiming to advertise any company, just to add information that there is an alternative technology to these paints.
With thanks, Sheldon — Preceding unsigned comment added by SheldonP101 (talk • contribs) 13:41, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
- @SheldonP101: Yes, a magazine citation would do fine. Thanks for asking. If you want me to fill out the reference, I would gladly do so. For a detailed ref, you can use template:cite journal or template:cite web. Thanks for asking! BTW: what would you call such a coating? "anti-fouling paint", "antifouling paint", or something else? My American dictionary seems to prefer "antifouling". Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 17:52, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
That clears that up, thanks! I have actually started a page in my sandbox regarding the technology so I will add it to the list of references I have yet to put up. I don't think there is a real issue with what the paint is called, the same way that you would probably call rubbish trash (presuming that you have an American dictionary because you are American!)Fouling is a wide term used to describe anything unwanted on a surface, so 'to antifoul' or to 'use anti-fouling paints' is what I usually go by, but I dont even think about it, and now I look back I have used both! (I guess its more writing style after looking up the grammar rules!)
With thanks, SheldonP101 (talk) 15:19, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
Hi Jim1138, The addition to where Haileybury is located is actually right. Haileybury has opened a new campus in Beijing in the last year. It is one of the campuses mentioned on notices. I am a student at Haileybury, Brighton myself, so I should know. Thanks (HEROBRINEROXTHEWORLD (talk) 00:26, 23 August 2014 (UTC))
- @HEROBRINEROXTHEWORLD: The link you used was red, so you probably did not format the link correctly. As the article is titled "Haileybury, Melbourne", saying it is located in China would be confusing. I would suggest adding it somewhere else on the page. Remember wp:verifiability and to wp:cite your sources. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 02:26, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
Hi Jim1138 Thanks for the advice. And by the way, I didn't intend to put a link in the Beijing campus. That is why it was red. But thanks anyway. (HEROBRINEROXTHEWORLD (talk) 02:41, 25 August 2014 (UTC))

Peugeot 301 (2012)
Hello Jim1138. I am writing to you as to the changes you have made to the Peugeot 301 (2012) article. I would like to point out that in mid 2013, the 301 began production in Wuhan, China. This is also backed up by part of the 301's article saying so as well as Peugeot's deal with other Chinese manufacturers. Also, just recently in this month, Peugeot signed a deal with Iran Khodro to build the 301 as well as the 2008 in Tehran, Iran. As I am also new to editing on Wikipedia, I do not know how to add the reason why you deleted part of the article. I would also like to add that it was basic research on where the 301 is sold as it is currently sold globally.

North Bengal etc
Hi Jim1138
I also came across Mohan Bose (talk · contribs), whom you reverted at North Bengal (NB), when they created the unsourced North Bengal, Bangladesh, which now appears to me to be text copied from NB. They again deleted most text from NB here soon after you reverted their unexplained edit there.
They have also made unexplained/unsourced edits edits to Jalpaiguri, which has a history of sockpuppetry. AGF, I have only a suspicion at the moment but WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Sayan Basu/Archive may enlighten. Regards, 220 of Borg 10:25, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- No comment about this? I noticed just today that they actually appear to have split North Bengal (NB) into two pages North Bengal, Bangladesh and North Bengal, India. NB seems to be page that has suffered a lot of POV editing as a look back in the history shows the page has been much bigger than it is currently.

Artificial Hair Integrations
New to Wikipedia I feel ashamed for the human hair industry I love so much to read such twoddle on the 'Artificial Hair Integrations'. There is nothing 'artificial' about human hair..and the list goes on. There are many posts on 'talk' which say the same. I would love to overhaul it without biass. Many of the comments on 'talk' should happen. Is this possible in an easy fashion or do I need to spend weeks earning a Wiki degree? LynneWalsh (talk) 10:01, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- @LynneWalsh: If you wish, I could format references for you. You could make a list in your sandbox (User:LynneWalsh/sandbox) and let me know when you want them formatted, I would be happy to do that for you. Asahi Shinbum
Asahi Shimbun is a liberal newspaper that represents Japan. Do you make reckless claims and if it has not been expressed newspaper is, liberal things themselves, that there is no evidence? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Niconicodouga (talk • contribs) 03:29, 30 August 2014 (UTC) Description of the political stance of the Asahi Shimbun, editorial comparison of five companies newspaper of Japan. Please refrain from intimidation. 1. Stance of the newspaper, in describing space for five major Japanese newspapers of the English version already Has been described in the source without that it is a liberal, but it has not been deleted. 2. Source indicating that it has posted an editorial against the right of collective self-defense is presented already. Furthermore, concluded by the fact that you are opposed to the right to collective self-defense, you can determine that liberal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Niconicodouga (talk • contribs) 03:46, 30 August 2014 (UTC)

The political stance of the coverage of the newspaper, and that, to a comprehensive introduction to the report, other than to determine it, there is no proof of Shoga. In the case of Asahi Shimbun of Japan, for the "right of collective self-defense", reports attitude can be seen in a third party as a matter of course it is the editorial in the Asahi Shimbun. Articles footnote written by I, is an article against the editorial "right of collective self-defense" in the Asahi Shimbun in the past. That is, other than the method that I wrote, there is no verifiable way.
Or, if Nosere articles newspaper addition to the news and,'s liberal newspaper the Asahi Shimbun, do you become proof that you say?
Your claim is haphazard.
Niconicodouga (talk) 12:19, 30 August 2014 (UTC)After that it can not diverted to the source of the English version of the content you have written on the Japanese version of the Asahi Shimbun, Asahi Shimbun, to be published only in the English version, the article inconvenient to their own, it was not the fact Who would?
I will question the essential problem.
Niconicodouga (talk) 12:24, 30 August 2014 (UTC)How is that even the correct article, the only article of the Japanese is not observed as a source? It is despicable racism was on the grounds of language.
Stop stalking me.
Please stop 'watching' my edits to wiki articles, as you have recently commented on my talk page on Cairns. You have NEVER even edited the Cairns article, and I doubt you even know where it is, so you 'response' on my talk page was unnecessary. The edits were non-specific as I couldn't see the full size just editing the 1 section, so I saved it instead of doing it all over again. Blanked Pear Linux for good
I'm the one who blanked the Pear Linux page. Couldn't say it has any useful content before blanking — it was redirected to Linux distribution where there is no word about Pear Linux itself. So, the redirect was misleading. It could be redirected to Operating system or Application for no much difference.
Pear linux itself is a less popular Linux distribution, and it's worth mentioning only because it shows a severe effort to copy Apple OSes look and feel. I guess the best solution is to place a stub article on the Pear Linux page. --31.28.118.179 (talk) 12:12, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- @31.28.118.179: The redirect could be deleted. To do so, a wp:redirects for discussion (RFD) should be used. Someone looking for Pear Linux would be confused finding a blank page. If the redirect is absurd (such as windows redirecting to geranium), I would suggest leaving it alone. Thanks for the note! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 15:52, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
86.172.40.147's edits.
Hi Jim. I am sorry to bother you, but i did notice your reversion of nregistered user 86.172.40.147's edits to a couple of pages. I know that this user is a friend of AldezD and a proponent of WP:NOTSTATS. The two of us are having a big dispute over what is a valid source. I was on the Through the Keyhole page doing a minor edit and noticed that 86 was using British Comedy Guide as a source. In my edit history on Wikipedia for British programmes, other well known editors have refrained from this website as it is fan updated and prefer to use TV listing sites like Radio Times or info from the channel's Press Office. I tried to make an edit using more valid sources, but 86 rejected both of them saying that Radio Times was not reliable and ITV Press was a not an effective source for Wikipedia. however, in the past 7 years that I have been editing and in talking with other editors, I have always had no problems with other editors when using Radio times or Press Office info as sources, until now. When I tried to talk to him on his talk page, he just cleared my comments and ignored me.
I complained to 86's friend AldezD, who suggested I write a post on the Through the Keyhole talk page, which I did. I don't know if anybody will see it though. However minutes after I started, 86 started a sweeping edit flurry, erasing episode guides, and valid sources and the like and has kept on doing so for a few days now. I don't know if you have seen his edit history. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/86.172.40.147) The thing is I don't mind WP:NOTSTATS and everything when I first heard about it last year. i knew it entailed Game show statistics and shows of that nature, but as you can see, he is erasing information and sources from Documentaries and travel shows as well citing WP:NOTSTATS and WP:OVERKILL. What types of programmes do those Wiki rules entail? I've been editing here for the past 7 years and I've never had a problem of this nature since I've started. I like to update info for British panel shows and talk shows. I've used ITV Press office or Radio Times as a source previously with no problems. Now with 86 around, I'm really starting to feel a bit threatened with what I edit. Will it be accepted any more? Will this user get angry with me. i don't know what's what and may decide to leave Wikipedia altogether even if I have had a good relationship with editors in the past. would you be able to help me or give me advice, as with the speed that 86 is editing willy nilly, I don't know which of his edits are truthful or just vandalism. Thanks in advance 173.179.185.186 (talk) 17:41, 30 August 2014 (UTC)samusek2
- @173.179.185.186: If it is a fan updated page, that would be a self-published source. Is this page fan editable? Is this page www.itnsource.com not reliable? See WP:NOTRELIABLE. A third party WP:RS would be prefered. This is somewhat similar situation with IMDB which is fan editable see Wikipedia:Citing IMDb. I would quote these on the talk page. I undid 86's edit as the anon is not giving good reasons for edits. Jim1138 (talk) 18:01, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
I am pretty sure ITNSource is reliable as I've seen Aldezd use it.For BCG, I would imagine that it is someone who does receive the guest list when the network puts it out, but I know it's not the network or Keith Lemon. Like I said, I've asked a couple of editors after I received this message and they have preferred Press Office spoilers and/or Radio times/Digiguide as well as AldezD (who is a big WP:NOTSTATS editor who doesn't do sweeping changes), however, 86 just doesn't seem to care and now has started this flurry of deletions as noticed on the edit history I linked to above. I'm sure he'll continue again tonight, maybe even reverting your reversions. I don't even know what I'll do if this continues. 173.179.185.186 (talk) 19:17, 30 August 2014 (UTC)samusek2

I'm sorry for editing I wasn't vandalizing I was just editing I didn't know that I was. I was just having a little fun that's all. Please forgive me I have autism meaning that I have a disability. The reason I edited body tempeture was because what I saw on hot body temperatures and cold body temperatures was not actually true. I reedited it to correct it. The fact is that body temperatures that are higher temperatures are actually more dangerous, more hazardous, more extreme, more serious, more worse, and more deadly than lower body temperatures. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.186.121.203 (talk) 01:25, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

Shinya Yoshihara.
Hello, I'm the editor who originally added the information in that article. My deletion was stylistic and done anonymously accidentally. :-)
Regarding my deletion, I disliked my further addition as cumbersome, awkward, and a tad biased. A bit like an article about Katie Holmes saying "She is married to highly-acclaimed actor Tom Cruise who is known especially for his work in the movie XXXX." vs. "She is married to highly-acclaimed actor Tom Cruise who is known especially for his work in the movie XXXX, which was well-received by critics, and received 96% positive reviews, and inspired many directors to change their style of directing, and came out to wide acclaim in 2005."
Extraneous, and a bit silly. :) The article is about Shinya Yoshihara, and not the intricacies of Hikaru no Go and how it impacted the Go world (and, as much as I love Go and Hikaru no Go, it was misplaced, and biased the focus to the point of praising and expounding on it. :) ).
I did add the bit regarding Yoshihara Yukari (nee Umezawa Yukari), because I found it relevant and potentially quite interesting.
Interested readers can dig deeper into "What is Hikaru no Go, and why is it significant?" sorts of questions by clicking on the link to the appropriate article. ;-)

Disambiguation link notification for September 3
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Our Lady of Charity, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Toledo. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Jeffrey Moore (author)
Hi Jim,
Thanks you for correcting my mistakes.
What I would like to add in the references section is the following links (see below) but I can't--I am unable see the content of this section when in the edit mode.

Changes to Barre Phillips Wikipedia page
The additions I made to Barre Phillips page are based on personal acquaintance with the living Phillips and Crawford families. I am sorry you saw fit to remove them. I am not sure what type of source you require for this type of information. 76.103.169.243 (talk) 04:38, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
Some issues to be addressed
Jim,
Re: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deportation_of_Cambodians_from_the_United_States
Please check these issues as I may be mistaken:
The following external links are dead:
1. Khor Sang Website
2. Deported Diaspora's Website
Note this statement:
"Currently,[when?] several deportees set up and work for a local harm reeducation organization, Korsang, providing help for drug addicts."
What is Korsang all about?
I can find no further information.
In addition, note this statement:
"Korsang has received a lot of attention from the local media as well as international support from leading organizations for its ground-breaking work.[4] They hire Cambodian deportees who go through the neighborhoods and streets in order to talk to drug users. They give out condoms and tell drug addicts about the danger of spreading HIV through sharing needles for heroin use and offer them help in cutting down or quitting their addiction."
Again, I have no idea what Korsang is all about.
The reference link [4] points here:
Montlake, Simon (2003-02-11). "Cambodians deported home". BBC. Retrieved 2006-10-03.
I searched through this article seeking a reference to Korsang.
I saw nothing.
Possibly I missed something?
Thanks so much for your help with documenting this important subject.
Chas.

Revert on CeeLo Green
Do you seriously think this:
"He has expressed that, at a number of occasions, he deeply regrets that wrongful behaviour in those days and years. He still feels deeply grieved by the loss of his two parents, whom he both continuously misses, also during these times of having a successful career."
Belongs in an encyclopedia? All you would need to add is a comment about how sad his eyes looked while he said it and you would have some Grade A CeeLo Green fan fiction.
But, fine. I'll leave it alone. Good job, buddy. Grab yourself a Barnstar out of the petty cash drawer before you log off tonight. 66.27.174.138 (talk) 05:39, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
