Yialousa (Greek: Γιαλουσα [Greek : Αιγιαλούσα= by the beach} Turkish: Yeni Erenköy), alternative Latinization : Yalusa), is a town in Cyprus. The population of the town is 1640 as of 2006.[1]
In 1960, the population of the town was 2538 with only one Turkish Cypriot inhabitant, the rest being Greek Cypriots. When the Turkish and Turkish Cypriot forces reached the town in August 1974, the Greek inhabitants did not flee.
